Ginny Weds Sunny review
There seems to be a marriage season going on Netflix amidst this Covid-19 enforced slowdown what with the web series 'A Suitable Boy' and now - Ginny Weds Sunny, that is directed by debutante Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan and released on Netflix. People seem to be missing the marriage festivities with so many limitations and restrictions in place, it's only fair that atleast we can enjoy it on the net. Being released as a Netflix original movie and a decent star cast we had high hopes from this one. It started off well. The matchmaking game in the beginning though far-fetched, one could still digest but somewhere wanting to be different from Tanu weds Manu and other marriage runathons and to be too raw and very real it petered out in the end. The punch, the usual pull at the heartstrings was missing in Ginny weds Sunny and it all looked very forced, well no one can f ....

Tutiya Dil - movie review
Tutiya Dil is a romantic comedy. It is a love story gone left and right then a bit wrong and finally right again. It’s a story of today’s youth. It’s right because the characters are human and relatable. It’s wrong because the characters are nuts. Tutiya Dil has a racy screenplay, promising and a passionate team. Rhea (Suzanna Mukherjee) has broken up with Karan Oberoi. Karan (Nikhil Sabharwal) has dumped her and she is heartbroken and homeless. So she comes to stay at Vishal’s who understands her situation and genuinely sympathizes with her. But going through this break up, Rhea likens men to turkeys, a species of birds which are always on the hunt for new hens to mate with. She is unsure of herself, and is convinced that men can never be faithful and always have sex on their minds. Then she decides to consult a shrink, Dr. Prayag (Naveen Kaushik) and narrates h ....

Hum Tum Shabana - movie review
Two guys, one girl….seems like a simple enough love triangle right? Wrong! The film Hum Tum Shabana has romance, crazy bhais, rapchik items and dhamaal fun. There is nothing simple about this madcap story, especially when their rivalry to woo her lands them into a crazy contest of epic proportions. Soon enough, this battle to woo the girl, turns into a desperate battle to lose the girl! With a comic guru like Sagar Ballary at the helm, a super-talented comedic cast and a crackling music score, this is one drama which falls short of expectations. The film has a plot that is absurd at various points, but it does have a twist in the tale towards the post-interval portions. Rishi (Tusshar Kapoor) and Kartik (Shreyas Talpade) compete with each other to woo the same girl - Shabana (Minissha Lamba). Beginning with a little twist here - the woman they run after has an underworld conne ....

Muskurake Dekh Zara, movie review
Muskurake Dekh Zara is a story of a young 'boy man' named Vivek. It's a story of simple emotions & disappointments of love and life. Muskurake Dekh Zara movie review... Vivek (Gashmeer Mahajani) has an 'upright' attitude, and ability to put people in their place and add lightness into moody and mundane situations. He does this not only when he interacts with his life's love Preeti (Twinkle Patel) but also when he encounters and jests with the simple, funny and harmless folks - like the eccentric live in DLT (Duniya Lal Tripati), the 'badnaseeb' hotel manager Khaatkar, the curious curio shop owner Elton, the heroine's eternally inebriated Chaacha who feels that one's 'spirit' can be derived only from downing spirits. The film's lighter moments beautifully intersperse with the hero's portrayal of a character of depth. Vivek has his own unique yet simple way of looking at life. ....
