And now, The Jogi Experience is ready for a much bigger stage.

THE JOGI EXPERIENCE: “We don’t want people to just listen to our music. We want them to experience it.”

Paresh B. Mehta, Editor of Filmytown.com strikes a chord with The Jogi Experience:

Let’s begin with the name. Why “The Jogi Experience”?
First of all, the name Jogi is given by our lovely audience and we accept it. Jogi is a traveller, a seeker, someone constantly looking for something deeper,For us, music is that journey.

We are constantly searching for new emotions, new sounds and new ways of connecting with people. So “The Jogi Experience” isn’t just a name. It describes what we want our audience to feel. You don’t simply come to hear us, You come to experience us.

Sufi music has become hugely popular, but your approach feels rooted in tradition. Is that deliberate?
Absolutely, Sufi music has survived centuries because its emotion is universal.

You may not understand every word, but you understand the feeling, we want to preserve that soul. Our traditional instruments, vocals and the powerful rhythm of claps are an important part of our identity.

At the same time, we are not afraid to bring our own musical sensibility to the stage. For us, tradition and contemporary energy can exist beautifully together.

The Jogi Experience – Soul. Energy. Connection.

What happens when The Jogi Experience walks onto a stage?
Something magical happens and honestly, we don’t completely plan it. Every audience brings a different energy. Sometimes the audience is quiet at the beginning. Then gradually people start clapping, singing, dancing and responding to the music.

The Jogi Experience

That transformation is the most beautiful part of a live performance… The stage belongs to us for a few hours, but the experience belongs to everyone.

You have performed at events with audiences running into thousands. Does a large crowd still give you butterflies?
Every time… A large crowd gives you tremendous energy, but it also gives you tremendous responsibility. When thousands of people are standing in front of you, you know you have an opportunity to create a memory for them. That is something we never take lightly.

More than 500 shows is a remarkable journey. What has the audience taught you?
Humility. You can rehearse music, prepare a setlist and plan a performance but you cannot manufacture emotion.

The audience tells you whether you have genuinely connected. Over the years, travelling through different parts of India has shown us how diverse our country is, but music has also shown us how beautifully connected we are. Different cities. Different cultures. One rhythm.

Your musical education includes KM College of Music and Technology in Chennai. How important was that experience?
Extremely important. Studying at an institution founded by A.R. Rahman gave us exposure to music theory, composition and a deeper understanding of the craft. But education doesn’t end in a classroom.

The stage became our next classroom. Every concert, every musician we met and every audience we performed for added another chapter to our musical education.

What is the biggest difference between performing for a corporate audience, a private celebration and a music festival?
The setting changes. The emotion doesn’t. A private celebration can be intimate and personal. A corporate event can be energetic and sophisticated.

A festival can be absolutely explosive. Our job is to understand the room and create the right musical journey. We don’t believe in performing the same show everywhere. We create the experience around the audience.

What would you say is the biggest strength of The Jogi Experience?
Authenticity. We don’t want to imitate anybody. We respect the artists and traditions that came before us, but we also want to create our own identity.

Our sound comes from our instruments, our voices, our musical understanding and, most importantly, our emotions.

If you had to describe The Jogi Experience in three words?
Soul. Energy. Connection.

And your dream stage?
The biggest stage possible but with the same intimacy we have when performing for a small audience.

We want to take Indian Sufi music to audiences across the country and eventually to the world. We want people sitting thousands of kilometres away to feel the same emotion that an audience in India feels when the music begins.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

The Jogi Experience has already crossed cities, stages and cultures. Their performances have reached audiences of thousands, while their musical journey continues to evolve.

But perhaps the most exciting part is that they don’t appear to be looking at the past.

They are looking ahead.
Towards original music.
Towards bigger collaborations.
Towards larger audiences.
Towards international stages.

And above all, towards creating an identity that is unmistakably their own. Because in an industry where trends come and go, there is something powerful about an artist who believes in the timelessness of emotion.

The Jogi Experience isn’t just selling a concert. They are creating a feeling.
And when the music begins, the claps rise and the voices meet, The Jogi journey begins…..
