When ever a film with a story based on 1947 partition is made, and more so if its a Love Story - the movie has created history with the recent examples of GADAR, PINJAR and many more. The partition of India and Pakistan is like bitter phase which has comes like a rlue but gets resolved with times. QISSA is a story of Umber Singh (Irrfan Khan) a Sikh who lives with his wife Maher (Tisca Chopra), three daughters & forth Son set in post- Colonial India when it was a part of Punjab in Pakistan. A group of girls from Ahmadabad Girls College come to Rajasthan for a trip and while in Udaipur, they come across a tourist guide (Prakash Sagar) who guides them in visiting various historical places and gives a glimpse of history of Rajasthan.
