Ek Main aur Ekk Tu
Ek Main aur Ekk Tu is the second film from Dharma banner this year. It was Agneepath the last month, which is an action film, which this flick is in contrast to the genre of the previous film. Ek Main aur Ekk Tu movie review... With this film, Shakun Batra who was also seen in Imran Khan starer Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na as an actor makes his debut in Bollywood as a director. From the trailers, songs etc, the film was anticipated to be colorful (like all Dharma movies are) young, peppy, fresh, loads of fun and humor, but sadly it doesn’t deliver. The story of Ek Main aur Ekk Tu is narrated by Imran Khan’s character Rahul Kapoor, about incidences which take place in the span of 2 weeks which change things for him. Rahul is the son of an elite Mumbai couple - Mr and Mrs Kapoor (played by Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah) who always have controlled their son’s fate. Mr. Kapoor alw ....

Don 2 - movie review
The Baadshah is back. And indeed he is! Being the second film of the franchise or “BRAND”, Don 2 creates buzz without much promotion in India. Shot at stunning locations in Switzerland, Germany, Malaysia and India. Speaking of the Don himself, Shah Rukh Khan. His acting is very natural and spontaneous and does not seem scripted. Every thing that he does on screen as Don -from his dialogue delivery, body language, look or style is truly DON. His performances in the stunt and action scenes are done very well. It is said to be the perfect crime and in fact it is! The first half of the film is comparatively slow with all the preparations taking place to commit “THE CRIME” while on the other hand the Interpol officers of Malaysia trying to catch Don in Berlin. The second half of Don 2 moves at a rapid pace and is more engaging, power packed with well executed action and stunt ....

FALTU - movie review
F.A.L.T.U. - movie review A question to begin with. Consider life as a building where you have been stranded on the ground floor while all the lift doors leading to the floors of success have been shut on your face, what would you do? Well, our Faltus would create such a basement that the floors above look cheerless and dreary. Faltu is a story of coming of age of today’s youth. They don’t choose a different path but create one. Inspired by Mr. Nek Chand the creator of the famous Rock Garden in Chandigarh the film exhibits how the discarded waste of the society when channelized smartly can create a Rock Garden and become the pride of the nation. Faltu is a story about a group of friends that are considered a total waste. The cherry on the cake being that they take pride in the fact. These hard-working back-benchers are hardly seen working. They crowd up the clubs of the town ....

3 idiots, movie review
3 idiots is the most remarkable film of 2009, which touches the right chord in people's heart with its witty story telling, marvelous acting and the incisive look which the film takes at the education system in India. Inspired by Chetan Bhagat's novel, ‘Five Point Someone’ chronicles the tale of three friends the 3 idiots who are room mates in student's hostel in an engineering college. Farhan Qureshi (R. Madhavan), Raju Rastogi (Sharman Joshi), and Rancho or Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad (Aamir Khan) are three engineering students who share the same room in a hostel in one of the best engineering colleges in India. Farhan and Raju are average students from modest backgrounds; Rancho is a wealthy genius who studies for the sheer joy of it. He has a passion for knowledge and his gift for creating machines that incurs the wrath of Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe (ViruS) played ....

Fruit and Nut, movie review
Fruit & Nut is a spoof on India's amusing socio-political state. Therefore a film of this genre should not be taken seriously as it has plenty of slapstick Govinda-David Dhawan type silly scenes. Fruit and nut movie review... Directed by Kunal Vijaykar, Fruit and Nut is one of those films that succeed in making you giggle intermittently as it is a senseless comedy with not too amusing absurdities here and there. The story of Fruit and Nut is about Jolly Maker (Cyrus Broacha), a simple, hard working middle class bachelor in search of love, money, friends and fame. He works as an accounts clerk in a greedy and corrupt builder named Khandar’s (Mahesh Manjrekar) office. This nerd Jolly Maker is an accident-prone character who leaves a trail of disaster behind him. One day in broad daylight, Jolly Maker's beautiful, sexy, smart and snobbish colleague, Monica (Dia Mirza), gets m ....

Perfect Mismatch, movie review
Perfect Mismatch was earlier titled as 'Its a Mismatch'. This film Perfect Mismatch is based on the topic of marriages outside the community. Or put it simply inter-cast marriage. The issue was significant some decades ago, but in the present times, its not at all an issue. Anyway, the film goes as.... Aman (Anubhav Anand) a talented young architect, raised by his Uncle has all the love and care a family could offer, even if he does take it for granted. While working towards his very own dream, his life takes a beautiful turn, when he bumps into the perfect girl Neha (Nandana Sen). The two fall in love, and nothing seems able to come between them. Nothing, that is, until it comes time for their families to meet. Sparks fly. Every known disaster swtrikes when the hyper-vibrant Mr Bhalla (Anupam Kher) and the rigidly-conventional Mr Patel (Boman Iran) meet and their differences be ....

99, not out, movie review
Presented by People Pictures and produced by Anupam Mittal and Aditya Shastri 99 not out the film is a refreshing change. It is an original story inspired by real events. It is as much “what could have been” as it is “what really happened.” In other words, it is historical fiction - being the keyword. It spans a few genres, it is slick, fast-paced, realistic and, importantly, very funny. 99 not out - movie review... In this "smart comedy" set in 1999, all the characters are bound by a common feeling of being stuck at 99 in life - just one short of a ‘century’ - that elusive thing called "making it" in life! 99 the film has betting, gambling and match fixing as a part of this film. Sachin (Kunal Khemu) and Zaramud (Cyrus Broacha) are the two happy-go-lucky friends who make easy cash by duplicating mobile phone SIM cards. One day, while being chased by the cops they ....
