Dilwale - movie review
Dilwale is a one-fourth of DDLJ in its name and the entertainment content. A predictable story line, the film relies much on SRK’s shoulders. To make the matters worse, the film’s promos reminisce the viewer of the hit pair of DDLJ and this comparison makes it worse, as the lead couple lacks the freshness and charm of Raj and Simran of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Raj (Shahrukh Khan) gets up from a nightmare from his past. He is a docile do-gooder who resides with his younger brother Veer (Varun Dhawan) on whom he dotes on and would go any distance to keep his wishes as he had promised their father Randhir (Vinod Khanna - a haggard) that he will take good care of him. Raj and Veer are settled in Goa, while the elder bro is easygoing, introvert and philanthropic, his brother is outgoing with a roving eye for all ‘things beautiful’. One day Veer, while on a car delivery bumps i ....

A masterpiece of love, and war, exploring the romantic side of a 18th-century Maratha general, Bajirao Ballal Bhat, a brahmin by birth and who fought and won 41 battles at a stretch against the Mughals with an aim to create a unified Hindu kingdom across India.   The glorious rule of the Peshwas, its grandeur, their culture, and the their large heartedness during those times takes us back to that era of righteous rulers which we have only learnt in our history lessons.   It opens with a Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shahu (Mahesh Manjrekar) seeking nominations for the post of the Peshwa (a Prime Ministerial candidate). The brahmin youth Bajirao (Ranveer Singh) with his superlative display of his skill and wisdom lands him the title. Tamasha - Movie Review
Create your own myth, choose your own story. This is what the director tells us through Tamasha which has Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in love with each other. We have a fairy-tale romance of Ranbir and Deepika's love story with the backdrop of picturesque Corsica bistros, dreamy countryside, sparkling blue waters. This could go down as one of the most complex love stories woven by Imtiaz Ali. ‘Tamasha’ tell you that one doesn't need to be satisfied with the stories that one hears around. Ved Vardhan Sahni (Ranbir Kapoor) is enchanted by stories, who grows up hearing them and expresses himself by performing them. Ved is a dreamer. A free spirited person who wants everybody around him to be happy. An average guy, he is a nomad, going out of his way to please people. We get to see the three stages of a boy growing up – as a nine-year-old child, then a 19-year-old adolescent ....

SPECTRE - Movie review
Daniel Craig's fourth appearance as the fictional British Secret Agent 007 James Bond in Spectre was worth the wait. His earlier appearances as the British spy were that in Casino Royale (his debut as James Bond), followed by Quantum of Solace and then in Skyfall. The 007 franchise is the longest running in film history with twenty-four films produced since 1962. This is the largest Bond film release across India exclusively in high-quality 2K digital format in 1250 screens in four languages - English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu - and in 2D and IMAX formats. Spectre comes across as a 'mature' Bond flick with an intriguing story with enthralling moments and more so with the life-like realistic situations, a special mention of the situation when the helpless 007 notices that the car which he runs off from the Agency wasn't equipped with ammunition but he has to get rid of the baddies. It ....

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, movie review
Set on a lavish canvas about Royals residing in palaces and forts, this film directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya is strewed with goody characters preaching ethical ways of living a goody life. The family drama is about a dreamy world set in the era of Kingdoms and consisting of obedient sons, 'agyakari' women where Yuvraj Vijay Singh (Salman Khan) a prince of Pritampur, who is soon to be crowned as king and is engaged to princess Maithili (Sonam Kapoor). Does this awaken memories of Shammi Kapoor's 'Prince' or the much later Anil Kapoor's 'Rajkumar' and dozens of ficticious Raj Gharana Bollywood films. It seems doubtful if this concept would work in the present times of fast paced lives of people who manage to be in touch with their own families with difficulties. Anyways, our prince Vijay is ethical, upright and stubborn which makes him infamous within his own family which consists of his ....
