Maa Bahen movie review
The latest Netflix offering Maa Behen has a running time of 2 hours and 7 minutes. At the outset, the title itself sounds like a cuss word commonly used in India. Can this movie be called a funny adventure? Was it about murder, or was it about kidnapping? The answer is none of the above. However, the movie's style is strictly raunchy. The plot revolves around a chain of events that unfolds over 48 hours in two contrasting houses (opposing in both location and social stature) within a gated colony. Guptaji (Ravi Kishen) occupies one house and has been wanting possession of the neighbouring house for years.

Dacoit A Love Story - movie review
Shaneil Deo’s debut feature Dacoit: A Love Story tries to straddle Telugu cinema’s larger-than-life storytelling with a Hindi sensibility, but the result is uneven and overstretched. It is an intense action-romantic drama blending themes of love, betrayal and revenge. This thriller presents a gripping narrative set against a rugged, crime-driven backdrop. At its core, the film is an old-school romance gone wrong. Haridas (Adivi Sesh) is unjustly imprisoned after being found near a dead body, while his lover Saraswati (Mrunal Thakur) becomes entangled in a web of betrayal and misplaced loyalty. What could have been a taut love-versus-law drama quickly spirals into a confusing, overlong narrative.

The Premise of Dacoit A Love Story

In simple words, Dacoit A Love Story follows a man who becomes a criminal after a heartbreaking betrayal by someone he once loved. After servi ....

Ginny Weds Sunny review
There seems to be a marriage season going on Netflix amidst this Covid-19 enforced slowdown what with the web series 'A Suitable Boy' and now - Ginny Weds Sunny, that is directed by debutante Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan and released on Netflix. People seem to be missing the marriage festivities with so many limitations and restrictions in place, it's only fair that atleast we can enjoy it on the net. Being released as a Netflix original movie and a decent star cast we had high hopes from this one. It started off well. The matchmaking game in the beginning though far-fetched, one could still digest but somewhere wanting to be different from Tanu weds Manu and other marriage runathons and to be too raw and very real it petered out in the end. The punch, the usual pull at the heartstrings was missing in Ginny weds Sunny and it all looked very forced, well no one can f ....

Ek Villain Film Review
An action-romance film directed by Mohit Suri featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor as the pivotal characters in this violent film apparently based on a Korean film. (Ek Villain - Film Review) Guru (Sidharth Malhotra) is a quiet, tough and ruthless boy, working for a local don, Prahlad. Guru has a dark past and its disturbing, recurring memories refuse to let Guru lead a normal life day in and day out. While being interrogated at the Police station, he gets the first glimpse of a sweet looking girl, Aisha (Shraddha Kapoor) and more than him it is Aisha who is intrigued, impressed with his persona. Aisha is the talkative, ‘ek joke sunoge’ types (which is a bit too much to bear at times). Aisha persuades him to do a favour for her, and in the process, he realises the happiness and joy of doing something good for other. He falls in love with her, his ....
