Sangeita Chauhaan's Bollywood Debut
The lead actress of Luv U AliaSangeita Chauhaan  has been a contestant of Miss India 2008, reached Top 5 and was also awarded the title for Miss Beautiful Smile.
This sweetie-smiley girl has modelled for several products, taken part in Ramp Walk and appeared in good number of commercials. Born and brought up in Gujarat. She is a Rajput and wanted to become an actor since her childhood. I must be something around 6-7 years old.
Sangeita was a shy and an introvert school kid. I remember when my teacher had selected me for the school drama. I was very low on confidence. I was a sportsperson in school. Have graduated in Commerce.

Tell us what is Luv U Alia about.
Alia is the daughter of separated parents and having seen turbulent times in the family, she is totally disillusioned with the institution of marriage. Reluctant to tie the knot, it is then circumstances which unfold realization on her.
What is your role in the film?
I get to play the central role and feel blessed having this opportunity. She is a simple girl, contemperory person, working too and appears like a girl next door.
She falls into a relationship and that is when complications occur in her life.
What is the story about?
The story:  Alia is in love, yet something had occurred in her family, hence her reluctance to fall in a relationship.
It not only about the girls relationship with a boy. Luv U Alia explores the modern day family life where the parents and kids barely get the time to sit together for dinner, and over this, its the tweets and messaging on their phones taking away this opportunity.
There isn’t much importance attached to relationships which used to earlier bind the families together.
What about other actors in the film?
There are other characters like Sudeep, Bhumika and Ravichandran apart from Chandan Kumar who plays her love interest in the story. Sunny Leone has a special appearance.
What have you gained acting wise during the shooting of this film?
It has been a learning experience for me and I put in efforts to learn swimming, and other traits. I had to excell in dancing for this film, which eventually I succeeded.
What have been your past achievements?
Had participated in Miss India.
After this several modelling assignments – Experia, Kellogs, McDonalds.
Who is your role model in the industry?
My role model is Vidya Balan who with her raw determination extreme persistence has carved her destiny in the Indian film industry. She never lost hope despite her long struggle.
Amongst the male actors, I simply adore R. Madhavan and always have been in awe of Aamir Khan.
Any specific training you underwent for this role?
I have undergone an acting workshop with Neeraj Kabi the actor and the acting teacher.
How was it working with Indrajeet Lankesh?
I was really impressed with the director Indrajeet Lankesh’s style of movie making. He is the Yash Chopra of South film industry. I am really lucky to have bagged the role and thankful to him for having imposed confidence in me.
This film is made in Kannada and Hindi.
What about your past films?
This is her second film, the first being Sharpshooter and this one Luv U Alia. Have completed shoot for a short film in Hinglish directed by Heena D’Souza. The working title of this shortie was “Its complicated”.
Any difficult moments during the shoot?
There is a lip-lock scene, which I was informed only at the last moment while shooting in Bangkok. Initially I wasn’t sure how I would pull it off. Eventually I managed it well.
