Movizz.com the VOD platform acquires distribution rights of the much acclaimed Sumit Mishra’s short film ‘Amrita Aur Main’.
Shruti Ulfat and Jay Yadav who play the pivotal roles in the film were present a special screening of this short film along with other industry personalities like Rahul Bagga, Tara Alisha Berry, Asmit Kundra, Vibha Sinha, Arvind Babbal and Anjum Rizvi.
Emroz was a painter and Amrita was a writer. While Emroz was younger to Amrita, yet he gave her a sense of belonging they shared a great equation.
Though Amrita’s love for Sahir is not unknown to the world.
If Sahir’s love was a like a sky whom she looked up to, her bonding with Emroz was like that heavenly abode on earth where she could sleep like a baby without worries… peacefully and experiencing bliss within.
They never tied the knot but Amrita’s most beautiful moments of life was spent with Emroz, they became lifelong companions, admiring and motivating each other’s creative energy, until one-day Amrita’s soul left her body, but she never left Emroz she still lives through her poems and will continue to live through Emroz’s paintings.

Having attained heights in the fields of art, painting, literature and film making, Sumit Mishra says, “Amrita Aur Main is my journey as a filmmaker in the true sense.”
Speaking about the film Sumit says, “Amrita and Emroz never expressed their love to each other, because it was beyond the power of words to do so, every minute of life was witness of this pure spiritual love. they lived under the same roof but both lived in separate rooms, they enjoyed their individual freedom, as well as bonded over a cup of tea.”
This romantic short film stars Shruti Ulfat and Jai Yadav. The story, screenplay, dialogues and direction are helmed by Sumit Mishra. Asit Biswas works his magic again as Director of Cinematography and it is edited by Sejal Painter, with Art Direction by Rajiv Ranjan and the music by Saurabh and Durgesh.
Having received standing ovation at International film festivals in Los Angeles and Barcelona, Sumit’s film has also been acclaimed in Salman Farsi Film Festival in Tehran, the Indian Film Festival of Russia, Serendipity Art Festival in Goa and Jaipur Art Summit, apart from being a part of the Official selection in over 30 International Film Festivals.
Sumit Mishra is known for his work as Art Director for several feature films including ‘Katha’ directed by Khalid Mohammad, Seemaa Desai’s ‘Pappu Ki Pagdandi’, Sandeep Verma’s ‘Manjunath’, ‘Flat’ directed by Hemant Madhukar, ‘Fast Forward’ directed by Zaigham Ali, ‘Lahore’ directed by Sanjay Chauhan and ‘Ahistha Ahistha’ directed by Shivam Nair being the notable ones.
Ranbir Chouhan is the Executive Producer of the film.
