Jugaad, a film based on a real life incident is a hilarious take on the infamous sealing drive by the Municipal Corporation (MCD) that rocked New Delhi in 2007-08. The film is set entirely in Delhi and is shot at actual locations to lend authenticity to the proceedings. The victim – CEO of an ad agency owner has no way out of the impasse and thus tries to overcome it by resorting to temporary settlement is what we call ‘jugaad’. This happened to many families who were victimized by this drive and even won public sympathy even though they had entered into unauthorized constructions. There is teenage energy, love, comedy, music, emotions and freshness in “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na”. It is a complete entertainer with a predictable story line that starts with a low pace, a typical bollywood style climax and has many hilarious moments which are impressive. A bit lengthy in the second half, the film deserves a watch for the lively lead pair, wonderful cameos, and writer-director Abbas Tyrewala's fresh approach to filmmaking. An automobile engineer by day and a dancing sensation by night, Jimmy works as a DJ in the local discotheque to pay off the debts left behind by his late father. Ashutosh Gowariker's film is a magnum opus though the only flaw being its 3 and half hours long!
