It’s Rocking: Dard-E-Disco (Hindi film)

Music director Bappi Lahiri's appearance on the silver screen

Out of the blues comes a film like It’s Rocking: Dard-E-Disco, which still reminds us of how we could tolerate such flicks a couple of decades ago. Further, we are now living in the generation where even without stars, but having good content, they do well like Vicky Donor or even the last week’s release Luv Shuv tey Chicken Khurana.

Directed by Ashok Tyagi the story of It’s Rocking: Dard-E-Discois about two brothers – Rocky and Rambo, (Akshay Kapoor and Aryeman Ramsay respectively), who think that they are so attractive, that they have the impression that they are the only – most sought after guys.

Dad Sharat Saxena, wonders whether his kids do have any future, while the boys are pampered a lot by their mom, played by Upasana Singh,

Trying to gain entry in Bappi Lahiri’s night club, they are thrown out. But as a sheer co-incidence, they are offered  entry tickets, and then, once in, they come across a drug peddler / dealer played by Shakti Kapoor who has a sinister plan to abduct the owner of the club – Bappi Lahiri.

The script of this flick is as directionless as the pampered dudes. Asrani too,  is given an insignificant role, while the girls Sneha Ullal and Rituparna Sengupta are used as wooden furniture in the story, unimpressively added in as the sole motive of providing glamour to the story.

The only highlight is that you get to see actually Mr Bappi Lahiri who rendered some classics as well as fast numbers way back in the eighties and nineties.
