Lyricist Mangesh Kangane turns music composer for Chandrakant Pawar’s directorial Marathi film Apsara

Having written lyrics of memorable songs like Sur Niragus Ho, Maja Anand Harpala, Mangesh Kangane has now turned composer having composed the songs of the upcoming film Apsara.

Produced by Mangesh Desai, Apsara’s music was launched amid the gracious presence of writer, director Praveen Tarde and actor along with the entire team of this film that is scheduled to release on 10 May in cinema halls across Maharashtra.

The movie “Apsara” is produced by Sunil Bhalerao’s production house ‘Shraman Films’ and this is his first production. Chandrakant Pawar, who has been working in the film industry for many years, has written, scripted and directed this film.

With several hit sons to his credit as a lyricist, Mangesh Kangane has been working as a lyricist in the Marathi film industry, Mangesh has several music albums to his credit as a lyricist. The multi faceted Mangesh Kangane is not only adept in soulful songwriting, easy-to-mouth phrasing, precise expression of character aptly matching the plot. Now going ahead with songwriting, Mangesh has added yet another feather in his cap.

For the records, Mangesh Kangane has been in the industry for over a decade and having more than 125 films to his credit. His first song ‘Tiktik Wajte Dokyat’ brought him immense adulation from the audience.

In the upcoming film Apsara, Mangesh Kangane has written, composed and is the music director of three songs. Singers Abhay Jodhpurkar, Anandi Joshi, Omkar Swaroop, Bhaiyya More, Megha Musale have sung the songs of the film.

Apsara feature Suyash Jhunjurke, Mayuri Awad, Akshata Padgaonkar and Megha Ghadge, along with Shashank Shende, Vitthal Kale, Vijay Nikam, Mayur Pawar, Rajesh Bhosle, Ashish Warang’

The DOP is Raja Phadtare and it’s choreographers are Nilesh Rathod, Subodh Arekar, Imran Malgunkar and Kritik Mazire.

Speaking about the story of Apsara that is tagged as a love story, the film promises to have a modern concept and the mystery about the real Apsara will be unfolded in the film.
