Kashmakash - movie review
A period film set in the 1920s, Kashmakash is based on a short story by Rabindranath Tagore. The film is essentially a Hindi version of the original Bengali film, Naukadubi. A tender romance blossoming in Kolkata between law student Ramesh (Jishu Sengupta) and his friend?s sister Hemnalini, is nipped suddenly when his father sends an urgent and mysterious summons from his village home. There, the dutiful son is peremptorily ordered to marry Susheela, daughter of a hapless widow. Ramesh refuses. Confesses that his heart belongs to another. But the widow's fervent plea softens him ultimately. And he concedes, albeit with a heavy heart. The wedding takes place with due ceremony; and Ramesh sets out with his bride on a river boat journey back to Kolkata. Soon a fierce storm arises; the boat tosses helplessly and finally capsizes in the churning waters. Later ....

Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye is really a simple story, about the triumph of spirit over every odd. And the power of the creative imagination - if you can dream it, you can have it. But perhaps the hardest thing in the world is to dream. Madhureeta Anand in her debut directorial venture shows some style and good narrative style where single frame of the film appears attractive. Being the story of Maya (Raima Sen) lives in New Delhi Mere Khwabon mein jo aaye. Maya is married to Vikram (Arbaaz Khan) and has a daughter Priya. Maya’s life is mundane and centers around her family. She always dreamed throughout these years of becoming a singer that never materialized. One evening she overhears a conversation between her husband and another woman and realises that he’s having an affair. All his life he has been an ideal husband, loving father who has just married off his only daughter and realizes that the time has come to fulfill his long, long cherished dreams. Kaagaz Ke Fools, Hindi movie review
A family drama about a middle class writer's fight with the system without losing his truthfulness. Puru (Vinay Pathak) is the protagonist of this drama. He has written a fantastic manuscript but is unable to have it published as it is about current social issues and the stark realities, which according to the publishers cannot sell in the market and then he also has to contend with his awkward, nagging wife Nikki (Mughdha Godse) who he compares with Lady Mac Beth as she wants her husband to succeed at any cost. Things take an ugly turn in their domestic bliss, while discussing and then it turning into an arguement about changes to be made in their house by a Feng Shui consultant. The heated arguement turns into a fight and in a huff, Nikki asks Puri to leave the house, so he swears he will never come back. To drown his sorrows, he goes to a bar-cum-casino den where he meets the beaut ....
