Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari movie review
The above titled movie is the latest offering from Dharma Productions, this is amply made known with Karan Johar himself putting in an uninspiring cameo as a marriage celebrity. Released on 2nd October 2025, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari  is now streaming on Netflix. Though it may suggest otherwise but the eponymous Sunny is not so 'sanskari' and Tulsi is not your average 'Main Tulsi tere angan ki' types. Like a rollercoaster it starts out as a fun flick then goes into conflict, then down to a tearjerker then again bouncing back for a happy ending. In current times love is just a 'situationship' until someone else comes along who attracts you so much that you will dump your love to marry a stranger, then explain it away as parental pressure. Then enter the ex-es wishing to break the newly formed alliance and reclaim what is theirs, they even have the gall to ask 'I hope you are n ....

Homebound movie review
Homebound had been making the rounds of the most reputed film festivals across the world - starting with its premiere at The Cannes Film Festival in May 2025, followed by the Toronto Film Festival, before gracing the big screen for us all. Not only this, but the film was also chosen as India’s official entry for the 2026 Oscars, even ahead of its official worldwide release. While these can often seem like marketing stunts, I can assure you that this is not the case here. It is a story that, on the surface, seems based on a vital yet singular subject, but once you experience it, you realize just how many threads have gone into making this cinematic fabric come to life. Homebound transcends geography. It conveys emotions and experiences so universal that they resonate with everyone in their own language. The film follows the story of two friends, Shoaib Ali (Ishaan Khatter) and Cha ....

Param Sundari movie review
Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Param Sundari is a romantic comedy film directed by Tushar Jalota that falls below expectations, particularly after watching it's exciting trailer. Param (Sidharth Malhotra) is a Punjabi boy who travels all the way to the South to meet Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor) with matrimony in view. It was through a matrimonial site that suggest Sundari would be a good match for this Punjabi boy. This premise sounds interesting but what comes later is disenchanting as Sundari’s guardian Bhargavan Nair (Renji Panicker) insists that she marry her childhood friend who is now a qualified doctor having graduated abroad and more so because he is of the same caste. While love blossoms between Param and Sundari amid the picturesque backwaters of Kerala, the film falls short in it's narrative appearing like one of those been there and seen it romantic flicks ....

Ulajh movie review
A spy thriller, Ulajh focuses on the glorious achievements of a IFS lady officer who is entangled in a crafted conspiracy that could end up finishing her career, her father's elevation to the topmost foreign diplomat and a face-saving embarrassment for India. Going by the past films produced by Junglee Pictures, they had produced the flawless spy thriller Raazi and the crime thriller Talwar, while their highly anticipated their new film Ulajh falls below expectations with several loose ends, flaws and the illogical super-smartness of an Indian IFS officer over foreign ambassadors and bureaucrats. In her first posting out of India to Nepal, Suhana Bhatia (Janhvi Kapoor), the grand daughter of a patriot and daughter of a very senior bureaucrat Dhanraj Bhatia (Adil Hussain) is successful in blackmailing the ambassador of that country. While back in India, Suhana is too focused in her ....

Roohi (2021) movie review
Every once in a while there comes along a movie which is projected to be a much awaited movie but it turns out to be a damp squib. This movie Roohi that is now streaming on Netflix was theatrically released on 11 March 2021. Due to the Pandemic situation, only those films releasing on OTT platforms are being reviewed. Roohi appears to be starting off from where we left off in Stree with Rajkumar Rao again donning a role of a village bumpkin who reports for a fraud type newspaper called something like Jazirabad Jaljala which does'nt even make a wave leave alone a jaljala which means tsunami. Rao is paired with a bumchum in the name of Atthanni or is it Katanni played by an irritating and over the top hamming Varun Sharma, such a waste of his so called acting talents. All through the movie as soon we feel now the story is building up it drops like a tonne of bricks with the two bumpk ....
