26th July, 2016; Mumbai:Moods of Crime
Bollywood is known for larger than life films. However there’s a substantial audience which follows real-world films too.
‘Moods of Crime’ falls in that category which will leave the audience shocked.
Last evening, the trailer of ‘Moods of Crime’ was launched and the gathered audience applauded the filmmakers for such a bold concept.
Produced under the banner of Bhumii Creations, Sunil Shah is the director who said, “I am sure that the hard hitting climax of the film will shock the audience in the same way as the trailer has evoked some sense of curiosity.
‘Moods of Crime’ showcases various stages of a human mind behind committing a crime and the feelings post that.”
Also present at the trailer launch was writer Jesuraj and distributor Manoj Nandwana. ‘Moods of Crime’ is an upcoming crime thriller featuring Ayaaz Ahmed, lead of on-going TV Show Jai Santoshi Maa, Uppekha Jain of Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Anima Pagare.
Directed & produced by Sunil Shah, it is scheduled to release on 5th August 2016.
FilmyTown caught up with a One-on-One with Moods of Crime’s Director Sunil Shah
You are a Chartered Accountant and managing a flourishing Educational Institute. Then, what made you venture into this world of Filmytown?
Yes, you are right. I am a professional. But there is another side of mine. Right from my early days in school and college, I have always been a story teller. I have that inborn art of visualisation within me.
What is MOODS OF CRIME – the film about?
I have analysed and depicted different aspects of an individual committing a crime. The first crime is tough. But once the individual has tasted the success, then it is no stopping him or her. No one is born a criminal. It is the analytic process in an individual which leads him to this direction.
How was it about shooting and the production process?
I have shot the film in Mumbai, Goa and thereabouts. We had a continuous schedule of 35 days during which the film was completely shot. It is 1 hour and 55 minutes in duration and keeping the subject in mind, I have not included any songs in the film.
Does it have parallels to any Bollywood or Hollywood flicks?
I have been inspired by several Hollywood crime dramas. So you see that this being a psychological thriller, we have depicted a different methodology and aspect of Students of Criminal Psychology themselves masterminding a crime. In fact, a series of crime.
