Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari movie review
The above titled movie is the latest offering from Dharma Productions, this is amply made known with Karan Johar himself putting in an uninspiring cameo as a marriage celebrity. Released on 2nd October 2025, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari  is now streaming on Netflix. Though it may suggest otherwise but the eponymous Sunny is not so 'sanskari' and Tulsi is not your average 'Main Tulsi tere angan ki' types. Like a rollercoaster it starts out as a fun flick then goes into conflict, then down to a tearjerker then again bouncing back for a happy ending. In current times love is just a 'situationship' until someone else comes along who attracts you so much that you will dump your love to marry a stranger, then explain it away as parental pressure. Then enter the ex-es wishing to break the newly formed alliance and reclaim what is theirs, they even have the gall to ask 'I hope you are n ....

Single Salms movie review
Single Salma is about a self sacrificing 30+ single woman who has dedicated her life for supporting her family. It is obvious from the film's title that the woman who is born and brought up in Lucknow is not married out of her choice. There are four film producers Alok Jain, Firuzi Khan, Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi and her brother Saqib Salem who have collaborated with Ajit Andhare. Directed by Nachiket Samant. The cast of Single Salma comprises of Huma Qureshi as Salma Rizvi, Sunny Singh as Meet Singh Sahni, Shreyas Talpade and Kanwaljit Singh as Salma's father. There are two contenders for Salma's marriage - Shreyas plays as Sikander Khan and Sunny Singh is Meet. To put the story in brief, Sikander approaches Salma with a matrimonial proposition and they almost hit it off. Until Salma has to visit London suddenly where she comes in touch with Meet and falls in love with him ....

Shodha web series review
Shodha, a Kannada language suspense crime thriller web series (with English sub-titles) is about an astute lawyer who files a missing person's report for his wife, after which he meets with an accident while driving. It’s not a courtroom drama, yet the tension crackles like one. The series dives deep into a maze of accusations, medical mysteries—memory lapses, allergic triggers—and sharp legal manoeuvres. With every reference to the Indian Penal Code, the lawyer doesn’t just argue; he performs, turning the investigation into a stage for psychological warfare. Directed by Sunil Mysuru and penned by Suhas Navarathna, the premise had the potential for a feature film adaptation. However, pursuing a theatrical release with A-list stars and a grand production scale would have significantly escalated costs, making commercial success a far more expensive gamble. Shodha effective ....

Saiyaara movie review
Remember the Hollywood film - Fault in Our Stars? Or the new generation - the Korean romantic doomed love story - A moment to remember? Saiyaara is 'inspired' (polished form of conveying the idea) by these ill-fated love stories with gloss and an Indian flavour with new lead pair Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda with a predictable ending. No doubt the film hinges on the freshness and raw innocence of the lead pair of Ahaan Panday (Krish) and Aneet Padda (Vaani). Saiyaara is an evocative and heartfelt film that explores the complex tapestry of love, faith, and destiny. Ahaan Panday oozes raw energy that is in contrast to Aneet Padda's emotional scenes. Directed with finesse, the movie weaves a compelling narrative that keeps viewers engaged from start to finish. Though it stretches in the second half. The film tells the story of a young protagonist torn between tradition and modernity, ....

sitare zameen par movie review
Gulshan Arora (Aamir Khan) is perpetually irate and a snappish person with him confronting and slapping the head basketball coach and then cooling his temper at a bar in Delhi. While returning home he slams into a police vehicle which lands in an overnight lock up at the Police Station. Next morning he is taken to the court where the lady judge sparing him a jail sentence of drunken driven and orders a community service or a period of three months of coaching a team of youngsters with various learning disabilities like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down Syndrome. Sitaare Zameen Par movie review... This hot tempered basketball coach Gulshan Arora is concurrently wading through marital problems and living at his mother's house, whereas his wife Sunita (well played by Genelia Deshmukh) is Gulshan's mother favourite. One can see and actually feel for Gulshan Arora who is going th ....

Sikandar movie review
Sikandar lacks a strong story line and is merely infused with unnecessary action. It is a redemptive relief for Salman Khan fans that he finally displays some improvement in his acting skills and emotions on screen (though this comes at such a late juncture in his long career) however a lot still needs to be done with the dialogues department. What really appears confusing as to whether the filmmaker intends to pass on the message of humanity, cautioning on ecological disasters or whether it is about a the King of Rajkot and his army on a mission of cleansing ills of the society. All hopes are shattered. Neither the story nor the super-man like action scenes featuring Salman Khan fighting 200 goons with his five man army sink in one’s mind. One is confused if he is watching an emotional film or rather a super hero flick. In fact the story doesn’t have anything in it worth menti ....

SkyForce movie review
Set during India’s 1965 airstrike against Pakistan, SKY FORCE the film centres on a daredevil maverick pilot, Squadron Leader ‘Tabby’ Vijaya (Veer Pahariya), his mysterious disappearance, and his Wing Commander’s (Akshay Kumar) relentless pursuit of the truth spanning nearly two decades. With the accent on emotional depth and expert storytelling, Skyforce is a war film Inspired by true events during the 1965 Indo-Pak War and follows the Indian Air Force’s daring airstrike on Pakistan’s heavily fortified Sargodha airbase. You should give 100 per cent credit for the wholesomeness of the film to the screenplay by Kewlani, coupled with A. Sreekar Prasad's precise editing, which ensures a tight narrative that maintains intrigue and emotional engagement, cinematographer Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran, along with action directors Craig MacRae and Parvez Shaikh, for the edge of th ....

Stree 2 movie review
Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film Stree, released in 2018, a horror-comedy that was loved by the audience, was set in the town of Chanderi where a spirit kidnaps men. Stree 2, the sequel, however, takes the story ahead and starts from the same point where the first film ended. This time, however, the locals living in Chanderi team up with the mysterious character, played by Shraddha Kapoor, as they confront another ghost known as ‘Sarkata’. Sarkata has the ability to take out its head and wander around, abducting girls who are ‘modern’ or ‘liberated’ in any manner. There is a back-story, connected with Stree. Janaa (Abhishek Banerjee), Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana) and town librarian Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi) return to confront the ghost. Basically, horror comedy is a challenging genre, and the makers of ‘Stree 2’ have nailed it once again. This sequel retains all the c ....

Shubh Nikah movie review
What makes the narrative of Shubh Nikah different from the other yarns of this ilk is the fact it maintains a progressive tone in storytelling even as it sets out to convey its message, making the film a well-intentioned effort, says Jyothi Venkatesh. The film is about a young Hindu boy Munnalal Mishra (Rohit Vikram) and a young Muslim girl Zoya (Aksha Pardasany) who fall in love with each other, without realising the obstacles and difficulties that their love will have to face. At first, though both the families object to this relationship when the love birds convince their respective families that the other is willing to convert, they agree. The families once again develop cold feet when, because of the impending conversion, trouble-makers try to start mayhem and threaten to start communal riots. The plot is definitely as old as the hills about two people from di ....

Shershaah movie review
This is a season of biopics or stories with their roots in reality for Bollywood after some Hollywood movies of the same genre. There is going to be a spate of such films which will either be released on OTT or in cinema houses as they start opening up as this wave of Covid subsides. Starting with Shershaah streaming on Amazon Prime. The movie is based on the life and times of Captain Vikram Batra of the 13th JAK RIF and his role in the Kargil war. Movies based on the lives of real heros are always an inspiration for generations, this movie being no exception, this movie is solely dedicated to Captain Batra and his growing years, his love life and his dream of being a soldier. During and after the Kargil war one did hear a lot about Captain Batra and his motto 'Yeh dil maange more' but as those still were early days of mass communication and smart phones had not proliferated thus w ....
