Shaurya, movie review
Shaurya is a film about "Courage", courage to believe in yourself and your ideals and courage to uphold these very ideals and live them. Captain Javed Khan (Deepak Dobriyal) is a man wronged by his country by the very men who he fought with and who were his friends. Siddhant (Rahul Bose), whose only aim in life was to escape reality and wasn't ready for what life brought him. The plucky young journalist Kaavya (Minissha Lamba), who never understood why it was difficult to speak the truth. Ashwani Dheer the debutant director's One Two Three is a slapstick comedy with a decent star cast. One Two Three is a story of mistaken identity of three men with the same name and the hunt for diamonds worth 10 crores. Saif pays him back in the same manner. Now its quits and this matter ends here. Ranvir (Saif Ali Khan) and Rajiv (Akshaye Khanna) are step-brothers having a huge stud farm in Durban, South Africa. 26th July at Barista, 2005 As usual, the day started as any normal Mumbai monsoon day. Children enjoying the rain, and people traveling towards their office or other places unknown to what was in store for them. The usual grumbling going around that our Mumbai Municipal Corporation has done nothing to withstand heavy downpour if it occurs, etc. Barista is one of the coffee shops in Bandra, a suburb in Mumbai that's known for its cordial atmosphere and great coffee. Many of them had come to enjoy a cup of coffee and some who wanted to spend their time with friends on a pleasant rainy evening. 26th July at Barista, the movie is a salute to the spirit of Mumbai and World Humanity. Black & White, movie review
The master director Subhash Ghai is back not with a bang, but with a convincing restraint in his latest film Black and White. Pleasingly, even the leading actors, Anil Kapoor and newcomer Anurag Sinha have portrayed splendid restraint all thru Black and White, the film. The newcomer is given a few lines, while he emotes thru his facial expressions and dramatically intense eyes. Black and White read further... Anurag Sinha is a fidayeen suicide bomber sent from Afghanistan to India, whose motive is to make the Indian Independence Day celebrations more explosive. He lands up at Delhi's Chandni Chowk, where we have a broad communal-harmony. The story is based on a plot by terrorists to blow up the Red Fort in Delhi. Ashutosh Gowariker's film is a magnum opus though the only flaw being its 3 and half hours long! Jodhaa Akbar is a sixteenth century epic romance story, the most ambitious hindi film with heavy doses of electrifying drama and wide canvas battle sequences. It's a dream all throughout whether it is large scale action sequences or the romance, and the beautiful landscapes of Rajasthan and even the torch and candle lit interiors of Agra fort. Kunal Khemu is the star in the film Superstar that is about an aspiring actor who wants to make it big in Bollywood. Not only a fine actor, he can actually carry a film on his shoulders. Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaaa, movie review
Debutante director S. Chandrakant attempts to weave humor in the plot which leaves the movie light hearted, that is Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaaa. Santosh (Rajpal Yadav) is a disillusioned man, single-n-looking in search of a perfect wife who can be humble and ideally carry all his orders well. He marries to Shanti (Neha Dhupia) who is a small town girl but later finds that Shanti is not the one who he had desired. This marriage was fixed with the help of his neighbors Mr and Mrs Khurana (Anupam Kher and Rati Agnihotri) with a positive attitude. Later on it is this senior couple who have to bear with petty differences and trivial clashes between this newly married couple.
