A romantic action-comedy film Main Tera Hero directed by David Dhawan which brings back memories of his entertaining films with Govinda of the 90s. The difference here is that it is devoid of any double meaning jokes and aims to entertain the family audience.

A haunted mansion in Mumbai is to be demolished making way for a glitzy shopping mall. The gang of harmless Ghosts of different eras and social spheres residing in this house are to be dislocated. (Gang of Ghosts - Film Review) A late zamindar is the boss of the house residing with a British Lord of the East India Company era, a yesteryear actress, a spoilt rich girl, an unhappy rock musician, a Bengalee and a cab driver. The boys sense trouble and escape from there, flee to the other side of the border and arrive in Calcutta, India. Kolkatta was then named as Calcutta. Jagdish Tyagi aka Jolly (Arshad Warsi) is a small-town lawyer from Meerut, who dreams and strives to find fame and fortune in a big city, where he fights an open and shut case against one of the biggest and most influential lawyers, Tejinder Rajpal (Boman Irani). The small town guy sets out to make it big in the capital city of India. Jolly is struggling to hit the big league, while just managing to survive in the urban city. He stumbles upon a case in which a drunk rich kid runs his car over a group of people sleeping on the pavement.
