Saawariya movie review
Saawariya means beloved. Only that lover who stands the test of time …who overcomes all obstacles… who doesn't care whether he gets the girl or not… as long as he's consumed by love… as long as he remains in a perpetual state of being in love… That man, that rare lover is saawariya. Ranbir Kapoor (Rishi Kapoor's son) is instantly likeable, and Sonam Kapoor (Anil Kapoor's daughter) is undeniably attractive. They are the newest and most promising stars ever offered by our Bollywood film industry. These young stars debut in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Saawariya which is a stark, lovely story about romance born and rekindled over four nights apparently inspired by the classic Fyodor Dostoevsky's "White Nights". Saawariya's is a leisurely paced love story about two young star-crossed lovers. Raj (Ranbir Kapoor), a minstrel, full to the brim with can-do anything ....

No smoking movie review
The movie begins with the hero K (John Abraham) having nightmares. He is a heavy smoker and an unapologetic one at that because he's a stubborn and obnoxious guy, who does exactly what he wants His disgruntled wife Anjali (Ayesha Takia) is fed up with his habit and is all set to leave him. The trouble begins and we have K, in his bathtub, having a surreal dream of being lost in Siberia without his cigarettes. No Smoking review read further... "What do you want for our anniversary?" asks the arrogant husband admiring himself smoking, while his wife looks though him and utters- "Divorce". Want a cure to divorce? The better quit smoking. The movie has parallels to "Kafka" and Steven Spielberg's "Schindler's List". Hallucinogenic images are portrayed amidst a deluge of cryptic dialogues. The narrative plays a dismaying mind-game where the smoker-hero gets trapped in a sewage underbell ....

Mumbai Salsa movie review
The movie shows a lounge bar in Mumbai by the name - Mumbai Salsa where the principal characters meet and their lives change forever. The 8 young guys n gals played by Vir Das, Amruta, Manjari Fadnis, Raymond Irani, Indraneil Sengupta, Dilip Thadeshwar, Neelam Chauhan and Linda Arsenio are also making their debut in the film. It is a film about dysfunctional relationships among young Indians, has given a great platform to eight upcoming actors who now see themselves in new light. 50 Lakhs movie
This movie 50 Lakhs - has an interesting plot, an interesting idea which could have been executed a little more seriously, and it could be a hit thriller of the present times. However 50 Lakhs is a good attempt by the director, done at a shoe-string budget. It is all about five young friends in Hyderabad. These friends, four boys (Ramu, Shankar, Kumar, Vivek) and a girl (Aditi), are middle-class guys with middle-class aspirations. While, now here in Mumbai, mafia don Irfan Khan (Pawan Malhotra) decides to shift operations to Dubai. Since international airports are under surveillance and borders sealed, he hatches a plan to get into a domestic flight in Hyderabad with the Home Minister, and from there is a plan set forth. This is where 50 Lakhs scores over other mediocre films. Irfan decides to travel pretending to be somebody else, while four of his associates will hijack the fl ....

Speed movie review
Speed - the latest hindi movie shot in the picturesque locations of London, starts with a young man (Zayed Khan) who receives an emergency phone call on his cell phone from an unknown woman (Urmila Matondkar). She mentions that she has been kidnapped; and the kidnappers have targeted her child next. She is kept in a farmhouse/ stable from where she puts together the remains of a smashed telephone and makes 'the phone call.' Seems the movie was inspired by Hollywood film, Cellular. However, the main plot of Speed involves an assassination of prime minister (aptly played by Suhasini Mulay) which is masterminded by Raj Zutshi and gets it executed through Aftab Shivdasani. The movie is a story of Zayed Khan who comes to London to convince his girlfriend Tanushree Dutta to give him another chance to prove his love for her. Meanwhile, Sanjay Suri, an undercover agent, receives a CD fr ....

Bhool Bhulaiya movie review
Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a hindi remake of a Malayalam super hit film - Manichitrathazhu, which has a better ending than the other Priyadarshan movies like Dhol, etc... Its a slapstick murder mystery which thankfully has buffoonery restricted only to the first half of the movie and that's tolerable. The second half really scares the audience, which apart from frightening, is also amusing and exciting. The movie begins with its usual slapstick comedy rendered by Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani and the gang - without Akshay Kumar. It is acceptable since the story moves on alongwith the regular giggling moments. Bhool Bhulaiya has songs, comedy, suspense and spirits, and some portions are not for the faint hearted. The hit songs are Hare Krishna Hare Rama - which could have been included somewhere around Akshay Kumar's entry which would be more excitable. The other number on Shiny Ahuja and ....
