Rajkummar Rao gets ‘Entertainer of the Year’ award at PCJ OSM Awards
PCJ Outlook Social Media Awards (a.k.a. the PCJ OSM Awards), a glitzy evening celebrating the stalwarts of social media intelligence, were recently held at the Hyatt Regency. The PCJ OSM Awards were given out to those who’ve made a massive impact through social media in 2017. This year’s awardees like Shilpa Shetty, Athiya Shetty, Rajkummar Rao, Mallika Dua, Priya Varrier, Vivian Fernandes, JJ Walaya, Shahnaz Husain, Vinod Dua, Mallika Dua & more have now joined an elite list of illustrious OSMopolitans from the previous year – a list that includes the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Twinkle Khanna, Saina Nehwal and many more.
Over the last few years, social media has taken centre-stage as the primary platform for networking and showcasing one’s body of work. Becoming an influencer has emerged as a craft of the digital age. A lot of creative minds from diverse fields like cinema, fitness, lifestyle, sports and activism are sharpening their social media skills every day and raising the bar. With the OSM Awards, Outlook Magazine recognises the very real impact these OSMic stars manage to make in a virtual space.

On winning the ‘Entertainer of the Year’ award, Rajkummar Rao says, “Newton will always be a special film. The movie not just won several awards, including a National award recently, but it was also a great experience working with everyone associated with it. The content-driven movie has set a benchmark for several filmmakers to create many more Newtons.”

The PCJ OSM Awards winners have emerged only after a rigorous vetting process at the hands of the online voters and the esteemed jury members. This year’s panel of judges included Twinkle Khanna, Gul Panag, Hansal Mehta, Jose Covaco, Tanmay Bhatt – each with massive footprints on the social media landscape. With distinct personalities from Delhi’s influential circuit present to honour the awardees, the OSM awards night was indeed a stellar one!
