Mumbai Saga (2021)
Yet another gangster movie Mumbai Saga explores the period between mid eighties and mid nineties when Mumbai's small scale businesses were run on the mercy of the local strong man who would take protection money from these small and roadside enterprises. The film had a theatrical release on 19 March 2021 and is now streaming on Prime. Mumbai Saga also explores the unholy nexus between the Police-Politician and the gangster. This was a strange period as the at one hand the polititians provided protection as well as encouraged intergang rivalry as and when it deemed fit in their scheme of things. On the other hand they also ordered the police to finish off the gang in encounters when the gangs became too hot to handle for them or they grew bigger than their own shoes. This movie is made in the same mould and style like say the 'Shootout at Wadala' or 'A Shootout at Lokhandwala' and i ....

Singham - movie review
Singham is a hard core action film, an action film like no other with a universal appeal and has something to take home for everyone. It is a remake of the 2010 Tamil film Singam featuring Suriya and Anushka Shetty and directed by Hari. In recent times even as action movies have gained immense popularity amongst cine goers there is a void for earthy action films with elements of heroism, idolism, machismo and valor. Among the things which work in favour of this film doesn’t have any item numbers like what is in vogue in every other Bollywood film. Exciting are the scenes where Bajirao Singham confronts the villain Jaikant Shirke every time. Singham is a loud melodramatic film about an upright cop who is cornered by a power-crazed criminal who runs unlawful businesses like kidnapping, ransom in the guise of being a respectable citizen. The story begins in a Goa city Police S ....

Do Lafzon Ki Kahani features Randeep Hooda and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. A gifted actor that he is Randeep Hooda comes up with yet another powerful performance. He is equally balanced by Kajal Aggarwal's acting as a girl who has lost her vision in an accident where she loses her parents. Jenny has an inclination towards Indian culture so much so that she is is obsessed with the regular 'saas bahu' type serials. Suraj (Randeep Hooda) is a part-time boxer in Malaysia. Jenny (Aggarwal) is a blind girl, on meeting whom Suraj falls in love with. When he comes to know that the reason for her blindness in ....

During that time the politicians and businessmen hoarded huge amounts of black money in cash and jewellery. This was done to avoid taxes which were quite high in those times. The film is directed by Neeraj Pandey - whose earlier work was critically acclaimed as well as a commercial success - A Wednesday. It actually happened during the early eighties that a group of smart conmen pretended to be CBI officers or Income Tax officers and they confidently conducted raids on targeted businessmen and politicians.
