Four pillars of basement is a psycho thriller that shows human frailties and capricious nature. It is about an innocent, pretty female executive stranded in the basement of a Commercial Complex after office hours who experiences unfortunate situations. The protagonist Sameer (Dillzan Wadia) is a conniving person. He works as a security officer in a mall and has a big crush on Riya (Aalya Singh) who is an executive working in one of the offices in the mall. Much to Riya’s ignorance, her regular routine is tracked by lecherous males working within in her office as well by some in the security staff of the car park area in the basement. An edgy thriller based on the South Korean film Seven Days (2007), Jazbaa is a pacy film with a taut screenplay, yet there are a few over-dramatic scenes which seem a little out of place.

A dark thriller with its unique story telling approach gathering momentum with its pace, BADLAPUR has its magnificent camera work and superlative performances from Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Huma Qureshi. Yet another spine-chiller from Sriram Raghavan who earlier made a notable revenge drama - Ek Hasina Thi (2004) and an out-and-out thriller - Johnny Gaddaar (2007). Emraan Hashmi is back in a character as a street smart conman which he played in Jannat and Jannat 2. His recent ones Ghanchakkar and Ek Thi Daayan were a complete departure from the commercial Emraan Hashmi films. They were for the niche audience.
