Highway - The movie
As soon as the trailers of this ambitious venture of producer Sajid Nadiadwala and writer director Imtiaz Ali were out for the audience, the film generated buzz; be it for its casting – the unconventional lead pair or the contemporary storyline.  (Highway Film Review) After all the anticipation, one thing was sure, Highway had to prove its worth to the audiences. The movie commences with a young rich city girl Veera Tripathi (played by Alia Bhatt) about to get married. Ramprasad Verma, a multi-millionaire owner of a huge orchid farm resides in interiors of South Africa with granddaughter Nikita. Ramprasad is a heart patient and has already had two attacks. Two orphans are sent to a Refugee camp in Bangladesh where they get shelter and food in return for (working) smuggling guns. Gunday - film review The kids - Bikram and Bala are exploited by the gun dealer and now there is a child molester wanting to keep one of them as his slave. The boys sense trouble and escape from there, flee to the other side of the border and arrive in Calcutta, India. Kolkatta was then named as Calcutta. Bikram and Bala start their livelihood by working in a small restaurant for some time, where the owner humiliates them, referring to them as 'refugees'. The film begins with a bomb blast in a court, where several innocent people are killed. It is a grim situation, the injured are rushed to the hospital, while the police arrive on the spot of the incident. ACP Ran Vijay Singh (Ajaz Khan) is in charge of the investigations, and then in the process of interrogation, it is clear that there are further strikes planned by the terrorists. It indeed does stay true to its title; makes the audience laugh and gets them instantly hooked. Hasee Toh Phasee - movie review Its an ambitious project by Dharma and Phantom productions starring Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra, directed by Vinil Mathew. The movie begins in 1992 with a naughty, mischievous girl shown getting thrashed; everyone is upset with her except her father who thinks she is a pure genius and simply loves her.
