 First time ever Gurpreet Kaur Chadha, of Punjabi Global Foundation organized a Short Film Festival ‘PGF Expressions’ to promote the rich culture of Punjab in a mumbai, an initiative to highlight the role of punjabiyat in world cinema


PGF EXPRESSIONS is a short film festival to showcase Hindi & Punjabi movies promoting the rich Punjabi culture.

The guests present were N.Chandra, Nasirr khan, Sumeet Tappoo, Amy Billimoria, Sk Ahuja, Jatin Ghai, Mansi Pritam, Surbhi Prabhu, Cyrus Dastur, Gavie Chachal, S.P.Ahuja, Kunwar Singh, Charan Preet Deepak Sharma, Anupam Ghosh, Nitin Shukla, Navtej Sandhu, Manav Bhindar, Chintan Thakkar, Manav Bhindar, Sukhvinder Dhanjal, etc who mended full support for this unique event.

 

The top 5 films were judged by prominent personalities from Cinema & Theater like Ajay Kapoor (Director, T-series), Anil Sharma, N. Chandra, Pankaj Dheer, and Cyrus Dastur

The movies showcased at the film festival were Waapasi, Nooran, Karamat, Mombatti, Dor, Salesman, and Romancing Tobacco & Unfortunate.

Punjabi Global Foundation was founded by Ms. Gurpreet Kaur Chadha and other eminent members, who have been guide and teachers in their own way. It is to promote the rich cultural heritage of Punjab on national and international horizon. The organization is dedicated to the preservation, promotion and dissemination of the rich Art and Cultural, Traditional Heritage of Punjab among the youth and new generations.

Gurpreet Kaur Chaddha put forth an excellent initiative in promoting the culture of Punjab through her organization, she exclaims, “Punjabi Global Foundation has many ambitious goals and, with your help, we can continue moving quickly and steadily towards their accomplishment. There are so many ways in which you can make a difference and help indigenous people. The experience of the Punjabi short films was amazing. There is so much talent in our country.”
