Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara - movie review

The film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was shot at various locations including the beautiful locales of Spain, the London and India. The highlight of this film is the La Tomatina festival which was recreated for the film and appears very natural.

3 young men take a holiday that changes their lives forever.

Kabir (Abhay Deol) has just met Natasha (Kalki Koechilin).
6 months later they are engaged.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is about three friends – Arjun, Imraan and Kabir, who set off on an adventure in Spain, that make them iron out their differences and teach them to seize the day.

He wants to go on an extended bachelor party. A 3 week road trip with Imraan (Farhan Akhtar) and Arjun (Hritik Roshan) – his 2 best friends since school. The only problem is Arjun is too tied up with work. After much emotional blackmail and cajoling the boys set off on a journey they were meant to take 4 years ago.

A fantasy holiday they had planned to take after college but never happened. A road trip where each one gets to do the ultimate sport of his choice and the other 2 just have to do it with him. Whether they want to or not!

Kabir, Imraan and Arjun meet up in Barcelona and set off on an adventure that will not only make them iron out their differences, but also face their fears, after their perception, unravel their fabric, force them to break out of the box and teach them to seize the day.

The three friends had made a long-standing pact, and that during the road trip, each one would pick an adventure sport for the trio to try.

During the trip Imraan has an additional personal agenda on the trip – to find his biological father Salman Habib (Naseeruddin Shah), who is an established artist in Spain.

In Spain, they visit the Costa Brava, Seville and Pamplona where they meet Laila (Katrina Kaif), an Indian-American woman on the Costa Brava beach and Imraan flirts with her.

Kabir has chosen deep sea diving, and it so happens that Laila is their diving instructor. Arjun can’t swim and so he is helped by Laila to overcome his fears and explore the world. Unknowingly he begins to develop romantic feelings for her.

Now Arjun chooses sky diving, for that they have to visit Seville, and here it is Imraan who overcomes his fear of heights and learn to let go.

Imraan has the most dangerous sport in mind as their final adventure one. The bull run at Pamplona.

Here, before the sport begins, they create a new pact – to keep their promises if they return alive. Imraan vows to get his poems published, Arjun wants to visit Morocco with Laila, and Kabir gathers guts to tell Natasha that he is not ready for the marriage yet.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is about a holiday that will change their lives forever.
