MICTA (Marathi International Cinema & Theatre Awards) the first ever Marathi International awards celebrating it’s 4thyear, this time flying to Switzerland in September. The promoter of MICTA Mr. Mahesh Manjrekar took press conference recently in Mumbai to announce this new destination Switzerland and also launched the new logo of MICTA.
MICTA, the initiative to establish Marathi Cinema and Theatre worldwide, has been well received by non maharashtrians in different parts of the country. Having successfully celebrating the extravaganza of MICTA for past few years, first in Dubai, then London and last year in Singapore, this time the award function goes to Switzerland with many new exciting things.
While sharing this new development with media friends Mr. Mahesh Manjrekar said, I am the medium to reach out to the maximum people, my energy comes from my team of MICTA. Each and every person who work dedicatedly for the perfect execution of the awards.
MICTA takes 300 artists to the foreign land where they perform and participate in different activities organized by the committee. From every year the no of people have been increasing, this time MICTA hoping to take 350 to 400 people from India. The travel partner for this giant event going to be Veenatai Patil’s new travel company “Veena Patil Hospitality Private Limited” At the press conference Veetai Patil said, We thank Mahesh bhai for showing trust on our work and we make this time with new identity we will make the event most enjoyable and comfortable for everyone”

Swiss Tourism Board will be the key travel associate for MICTA this year.
In the press conference, new name was announced on the board of MICTA, that is of Maharastra Kalanidhi, who will be the presenters of MICTA 2013.
Maharastra Kalanidhi, an initiative headed by Mr. Nitesh Rane will be the great association of this year. “Mahesh Manjrekar who started the MICTA has done an great phenomenal work for the whole Marathi Fraternity, it is our privilege to be a part of it and we will give support to this noble initiative in every possible way said, Mr. Nitish Rane.
The new development was announced in the presence of Jayant D Mhaiskar (Mhaiskar Foundation), Kiran Shantaram, Nitesh Rane (Maharashtra Kalanidhi), Sushant Shelar, Anant Panshikar, Chandrakant Kulkarni along with Mahesh Manjrekar.
Stars like Priya bapat kamat, Sai Tamhankar, Neha Pendse, Amruta Khanvilkar, Kranti Redkar. Umesh Kamat, Sunil Barve, Vijay Kadam, Ankush Choudhary, Upendra Limaye, Vaibhav Mangle, Mahesh Kothare, Sanjay Jadhav etc. was present during the announcement. MICTA 2013 Festival to be organized in Goa or Pune.
