The king of melody, Kumar Sanu rocked the packed audiences on Friday with his magical performance that had his fans scream – “Yeh Dil Maange More…”

Popular for rendering his voice during the the 1990s and early 2000s, Kumar Sanu has been conferred with Padma Shri award by the Indian Government in 2009, Sanu performed live at the Live-in-Concert held at Shri Shanmukhananda Auditorium organized by Hasit Sanzgiri and Shree Ashtavinayak Entertainment on the 1st day of summer month.

Speaking to the media prior to the event Sanu observed, “I am amazed that people also like his recreated songs used in the latest Hindi films. Instead I feel that this is the way that the current generation finds out about my original renditions,” while replying to the question whether there is a drought in the creativity among the current crop of filmmakers.

Replying to another query if the Padma Shri awardee found any changes in song recording process as compared to his initial days way back during 90s, he mentioned, “Of course I find drastic changes in all the departments of songs and music which can be attributed to the fast changing lifestyle and technological advancements.”

Hasit Sanzgiri, the organizer of the event announced that part of the proceeds of the evening will be contributed towards the Army Welfare Fund, which enlightened Sanu who rendered all his mega hits one after another without any breaks for almost a couple of hours. So thrilled was the noted singer with this announcement.

Another highlight of the evening was that for the first time Kumar

Sanu’s son Jaan Kumar Sanu who set the evening in motion with the title track of the Bollywood film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The family packed auditorium grooved to the voice of junior Sanu who incidentally mentioned that this was his first performance of his life for the audiences.

With the audiences wanting more, Hasit Sanzgiri thanked them for such a wonderful response for the first ever show organized by his company Shree Ashtavinayak Entertainment. “I never expected such tremendous response and am so happy to see people appreciate and admire the songs of the 90s,” he stated indicating that several shows are planned by the company.
