Those with a devotional interest can now watch Marathi film ‘Kulswamini’: A Devotional Ode to Devi Mahalaxmi of Kolhapur in theatres near you from 11th November.
“Kulswamini” will give audience a glimpse into the divine life of “Goddess Mata Mahalakshmi” & her various forms. The film is a journey of the various incidents that changes the lives of the main protaganists Kalyani & Balasaheb Deshmukh & How the celestial power of the Goddess changes their course of thinking & their lives. The film stars well known actors Dr Vilas Ujawane, Chitra Deshmukh, Sagar Korade,Yogini Pophale, Prasanna Kale & others.It is directed by Jageshwar Dhoble & Produced by Ultra Media & Entertainment Group. It has 5 soulful & devotional songs sung by well-known singers like Anuradha Paudwal,Pravin Kumar,Gaurav Chati & Abhijit Joshi.. The music & lyrics is composed by the renowned Abhijit Joshi. The film will be releasing all over Maharastra with English subtitles on 11th November
Kulswamini, which also marks Anuradha Paudwal’s comeback as a playback singer in Marathi films is shot in scenic locations in different parts of Maharashtra. The film had spiked a tremendous amount of curiosity amongst viewers since its trailer was launched on 28th October .Vilas Ujawane who is playing the lead in the film dons a character of Balasaheb Deshmukh, a very influential person in his village where the story is based. He is the husband of Kalyani Deshmukh, who is a staunch devotee of Devi Mahalakshmi. Vilas Ujawane is known for his power packed performances in both Marathi & Hindi films. Kalyani is played by actress Chitra Deshmukh,who became a household name with her famous film ” Dha Lekacha”. she started her acting career with a 1992 Hindi Romantic film “Daulat Ki Jung”
