Kuberaa – movie review

Kuberaa marks the first-ever collaboration between National Award-winning actor Dhanush and acclaimed filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. Without diving into too much detail, the film Kuberaa sets out to trace how a destitute man is drawn into the world of the ultra-rich before he rises to the occasion and begins to control the game. This trope is familiar territory in cinema, and while the writer-director uses it to his advantage, he also succeeds to refrain successfully from going overboard with Deva’s (Dhanush) heroism. Kuberaa, alias Deepak Nagarjuna) who is essentially a nice sleuth from CBI is forced to turn a high-level fixer for a corporate conglomerate (run by Jim Sarbh( Neeraj Mithra) and his father (Dalip Tahil), while Mandanna plays Sameera, a commoner girl (comically) dealing with life’s many struggles. Gulshan Arora (Aamir Khan) is perpetually irate and a snappish person with him confronting and slapping the head basketball coach and then cooling his temper at a bar in Delhi. While returning home he slams into a police vehicle which lands in an overnight lock up at the Police Station. Next morning he is taken to the court where the lady judge sparing him a jail sentence of drunken driven and orders a community service or a period of three months of coaching a team of youngsters with various learning disabilities like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down Syndrome. BHRAM – Gujarati movie review

There is one scene in the film where the protagonist is hooked on to Tom & Jerry cartoons ignoring the seriousness of the matter, the captivating closed door mystery thriller Bhram brilliantly uses this metaphor to drive the core of the subject. Among the main characters in the film, Maya (Sonali Lele Desai) is a Dementia patient, so she forgets everything and does not remember. Nishma Soni plays the role of her daughter Shraddha. Mitra Gadhvi plays the role of Mehul as Maya's caretaker. Maya witnesses the murder of her daughter Shraddha and the case of this entire murder mystery falls into the hands of Investigating Police officer Rakesh Parmar (Abhinay Banker). This results in twists and turns Maya's life as there are moments where even she is the prime suspect for the murder. Bhool Chuk Maaf the film captures small-town romance between Ranjan and Titli. The girl's father sets a precondition that the boy should have a government job for which the boy resorts to help by bribing a middleman scamster for securing the job. Their romance blooms across the ghats, narrow streets of Benaras, Uttar Pradesh. Accepted, that it gives a realistic feeling but aren't there too many other films who have showcased the interiors of Uttar Pradesh. Where is the scenic beauty? We are bored watching the small streets and the nukkads of our interiors. Coming back to the story, much to Ranjan's horror, the scamster vanishes leaving him to a dead end when the boy takes a vow at Lord Shiva's temple to perform a noble deed if his wish is fulfilled. A group of jobless boys begin dabbling with an Ouija board just for kicks. At first, it’s all fun and games — until strange eerie events start to unfold. What begins as harmless mischief soon spirals into chaos, turning their lives literally upside down. By the way, Kapkapiii is a Hindi remake of the 2023 Malayalam horror-comedy Romancham, a story that talks about blind faith, and a rather unknown disease. Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning has thrilling chases, intense combat and the Mission Impossible theme, and definitely the fit and pleasant Tom Cruise performing stunts on ground, air and underwater. What is missing are the breathtaking worldwide locations like the earlier films showcased Dubai, Paris, London, Norway, Morocco, Prague, Australia, Rome among many. Instead the first half is centred around the dark locations of tunnels and underground, with second half mostly in the submarine, underwater, except the stretched airplane chase and stunts actually performed by Tom Cruise. President of the United States of America sends a voice note to Ethan recounting the adventures he pulled out in the last thirty years bringing nostalgia of the several earlier missions that Ethan accomplished. Badass Ravi Kumar- movie review

Himesh Reshammiya is back with Xpose Cinematic Universe's latest film Badass Ravi Kumar. The film sets out to entertain you like no other in recent times. Himesh Reshammiya’s portrayal of the titular character of the super cop Ravi Kumar is so unselfconsciously over the top that it’s quite hard not to get sucked in. And what exactly I like about the film is the way Himesh has made it clear right in the beginning that the film literally screams in bold, flashy letters: "Logic is optional." ILU ILU 1998 (Marathi film) is an oft repeated story of a 14- year-old student, Aniket, (Nishant Bhavsar) who falls head over heels in love with his new English teacher Madhuri Pinto (Elli Avram). Aniket is infatuated enough to desire to marry his teacher. Aniket, the boy at a Marathi medium boy school, experiences first love when the modern English teacher, Madhuri Pinto, joins. Infatuated, Aniket studies harder and even begins to watch English movies to impress her. On Valentine`s Day, he plans to confess his feelings. However, a sketch of Madhuri is found in the school toilet, leading to an unexpected twist in the story. DEVA – movie review

The film Deva, a remake of the Malayalam flick Mumbai Police released way back in 2013, features the tale of Kochi City ACP Antony Moses, who is infamously known as Rascal Moses due to his chauvinistic character. Basically, the film is about a rebellious and abrasive cop who sets out to investigate a murder case but suffers memory loss after a major accident. As he retraces his past, he discovers some unsettling truths about his department and himself. Sadly, the film drains you of whatever energy you have when you start watching the film over the course of 156 minutes, as the screenplay team—Bobby–Sanjay, Abbas Dalal, Hussain Dalal, Arshad Syed, and Sumit Arora—takes you through the various layers and shades of Dev, and the unravelling the mystery on and on.
