Dhara 302, movie review
An action–gang war film based on true events in the land of Rajasthan. It is the story of a boy Veer Singh who takes the route of crime under difficult circumstances at the age of 12 years. The young lad is forced to continue his journey in the big bad world of crime and he ends up becoming a bigger criminal. It follows the life struggle of a man who unfortunately ends up becoming a criminal. Veer Singh joins a notorious gang of Jhalavad which indulges in all ill-legal business and has attained its dominance over crime world. He then steers such a crime mechanism that leads to his supremacy in the underworld of Rajasthan. Neerja, movie review
At the first look and the trailer release of this film, there were great apprehensions, both in terms of curiosity to know about the incident as well as the skeptics wondering whether Sonam Kapoor really was the right choice to play Neerja. Neerja, as is known, is a biopic based on Neerja Bhanot (played By Sonam Kapoor) who was the head purser on the Pan Am flight from Mumbai to New York via Karachi and Frankfurt. The film is about the hijack of Pan Am flight 73 that took place on 5th September 1986. An action packed fast paced thriller, ought to appeal to the youth. This is what Ghayal Once Again is about. Ajay Mehra (Sunny Deol) is back after serving prison sentence for killing Balwant Rai. The film opens with flashbacks of Ghayal. Ajay begins a new career as a news editor of an independent newspaper. He doubles as a vigilante who assists the police with their hard-to-prosecute cases (including cases where the accused are prominent and influential members of society). Post his release from the prison, he suffers anxiety attacks with flashes of his painful past where his wife and family members are killed. Saala Khadoos - movie review
R Madhavan plays a failed, disheartened retired boxer who now, is a coach of women's boxing for the Indian Boxing Federation. Being true to his profession and the country, this nutty coach has the uncanny ability to spot budding talent. He comes up with a convincing and extremely realistic performance of a true and honest coach who puts all his efforts, time (and money) in nuturing raw talent. Being a true boxing coach, he cannot accept anything mediocre in his budding women boxers. Nothing less. Adi Tomar (R. Madhavan) is a Senior Boxing Coach for Women's Boxing Federation of India. The federation chief (Zakir Hussain) is a typical babu type who keeps his personal motives and benefits in mind while selection of the women boxer to represent the country. While the first two films, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005) & Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (2012) were trend-setters, Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 - the third installment of Kya Kool Hai Hum series disappoints. Claimed as India's first porn-com, the 3rd part has the least of genuine comedy content, and as regards the erotica - it has the lowest level of cheap gestures which can hardly 'arouse' interest among just out of college gals and guys. The 33 bravehearts of the brotherhood It is a true story about 33 miners who were trapped, lets say buried alive by the catastrophic collapse of a 100-year-old gold and copper unstable mine for 68 days in San José Chile. Though a true story and based on the novel 'Deep Down Dark' by Héctor Tobar has a beautifully crafted narrative. The 33 was filmed on location in Chile’s harshly remote yet breathtakingly beautiful Atacama desert just kilometers away from where the event took place, and deep within two mines located in central Colombia. It opens with the miners a motley crew of family men, drunks and happy go lucky men celebrate the retirement of their loved old colleague. A small budget gripper from the Marathi stable. It could happen to you is the apt tagline. A day to day story a housemaid is thrown off the balcony of the flat 702 of Pune's highrise Rosemary Society. Kaavya (Gauri Nigudkar) and Yash Dixit (Vijay Andalkar) are a jet couple leading a blissful life along with their 10 yea old daughter Reva (Ruchi Jail). Their perfect life comes to a grinding halt when the governess Asha (Anushree Junnarkar), they had hired a while back to take care of Reva, falls from their balcony and dies. The man of the house has taken leave and is working from home. It is a point worth a wonder - It is a great boon or a bane of tech workers?
