Tracing the birth and origins of Lord Ganesha, Vedant Nagpal’s video depicts the life journey of our beloved ‘Elephant God’ Ganesha
The proud mother, Aarti Nagpal launches her son’s Vedant Nagpal’s first music video album ‘Elephant Head’. Vedanta is also an actor, musician, lyricist, editor, rapper and director who revealed that the lyrics of the single was penned by himself during the Ganesha festival a year back.
Bollywood’s famous actress Aarti Nagpal who is known to fight with the issues of growing atrocities and women in society has recently produced a short film ‘Abuse’ which created an uproar. The film has recently been awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Golden Camera Award, where she has not only acted in this short film but also wrote and directed the story.
Now Aarti Nagpal’s son Vedant Nagpal has set his foot in Bollywood not just as an actor but as musician, lyricist, editor, rapper and director. His grandfather Shri Vitthaldasji has composed songs, rendered music and acted in many films across various genres in about 40 films since 1922.
Vedant Nagpal is being introduced to the single ‘Elephant Head’ which is presented by Aks Studio. He is the composer, lyricist, editor, rapper, director of the album as well as VFX, production. Aarti Nagpal, Vedanta Nagpal and Ananya Sharma are seen in its music video. The film’s DOP is by Yash Jaiswal, Music Composition by Rishi Singh, and Aarti Nagpal’s daughter Priyanshi Nagpal is the costume designer.
Tishika Jain is the singer and the paintings in the video are by Vijay Lakshmi, its production designer is Princi Nagda, choreographer Ruchi Sharma Kakade, makeup by Jaywant Thackeray, hair by Priya Javia and the graphic designer is Trisha Thakur.
Being a fashion styling student the costume designer Priyanshi Nagpal credits her success to her brother’s support.
At a grand launch party of this album held in Illuminati at Bandra Kurla Complex, the entire team associated with this album was present.
Among the guests who attended the event were Ram Mirchandani of Eros Now, Vishal Sudarshanwar along with wife Elsa Nilaz, Girish Wankhede, Ismailji, Harry Verma and Ketan Sheth who lauded the debut of Vedanta.
“I am very excited about my first music video, and it was while I was stuck in traffic due to Ganapati immersion, I wrote this song in one night. The thought of this song is, what would Lord Ganapathi think if he were here today?” revealed Vedant Nagpal who with his mother’s support performs the immersion of clay Ganapati Bappa in his home itself.
Explaining the reason for releasing this album in English instead of Hindi Vedanta said, “I write and think from the heart. I have also written this song with my heart. I can express my emotion properly in English. ”
Aarti Nagpal is also seen performing Kathak dance in this video. She says, “I learned Bharatanatyam in my childhood. In this video I have performed the Kathak dance for the first time after having rehearsed for few hours.”
