My Little Pony review

Based on the television series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic we have a charming animated musical comedy fantasy film aimed towards the kids – My Little Pony: The Movie that ought to please its dedicated fan base

But the festivities are cut short when Tempest Shadow (Emily Blunt) and Grubber (Michael Pena) who are sent by the Storm King (Liev Shrieber) overtake the city and drive away the Mane 6.

A dark force threatens Ponyville and the gang of Mane 6 – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship to save their home.

Canterlot, the capital of Equestria is buzzing with news of Twilight Sparkle throwing a huge Friendship Festival and Songbird Serenade (Sia) is performing.

During their escape the ponies discover Klugetown which is a desert city filled with crooks far outside Canterlot. Desperate for a rest, the Mane 6 request help and meet a charming cat named Capper (Taye Diggs) who comes to their aid. Little did the ponies realize that the same person offering help may not offer the kindness they expected.

To cut short after a long and treacherous journey, the Mane 6 discover the mythical underwater city of Seaquestria which is the home to the incredible Seaponies and magical powers unlike any found in Canterlot.

Queen Novo (Uzo Adub) and her daughter Princess Skystar (Kristin Chenoweth) welcome the Mane 6 into their castle and share their ancient Seapony secrets that just might be the ticket to saving Canterlot.

The film has an all star voice cast including Emily Blunt, Kristin Chenoweth, Liev Schreiber, Michael Pena, Sia, Taye Diggs, Uzo Adube and Zoe Saldana.

My Little Pony: The Movie features original music and songs performed by Sia, Diggs, Saldana, Choweth and Blunt

It should be well accepted by the fans of My Little Pony series.
