GST Galti Sirf Tumhari review

With her maiden production, Sarika S Sanjot, the producer of this film strikes it right in Bollywood with her venture GST – Galti Sirf Tumhari. The film begins with an intriguing premise and goes on to keep the audience guessing about the twists and turns in the story.

To make it clear once and all, the film has nothing to do with the Goods and Services Tax implemented by the present government in the centre. Though the similarity lies with the ultimate motive with the central fiscal policy aims to bring about financial discipline in the economy, Sarika’s comedy-thriller-suspense drama also carries a message about bringing discipline in one’s social life.

GST-the film is the story about a group of students of a law college in Dehradun, Mussoorie in Uttar Pradesh who take it easy in their lives and indulge in desires unknown to the impending danger they could get into.

Arjun, Mayank and Ravi are partying with their girlfriends Varsha, Riya and Anjali. Not content with their love lives, The duo Ravi and Mayank see a lone girl exiting the party and the devil in them wakes up leading to this duo to follow her with naughty intention to rape her. Unfortunately the lone girl Maya gets injured seriouly and is about to breath her last when the rest of the gang Varsha, Riya, Arjun and Aanjali come to the rescue only to fail in their attempt to revive her.

The initial party song is bound to become a party anthem with the youth. It is to the credit of the cinematographer that depicts scenic beauty of the rest of Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh besides the already famous Dehradun and Mussoorie which its local colour and flavour and its rich heritage and has tried to capture the natural beauty of UP and Uttarakahnd.

Full credit to the producer Sarika S Sanjot for believing in the artists from UP and Uttarakhand who have not disappointed her with their honest and earnest performances. Navi Bhangu, Poonam Pandey, Ravi Yadav, Sunil Thapa, Shyam Lal, Veeru Chauhan, Manisha Thakur, Anita Raghav, Mayank Rajput and Riya Agarwal have performed realistically well in this revenge thriller.

It is a light hearted youth centric comedy-thriller- suspense drama which delves on the subject that everyone is bound to make a mistake. But if corrective actions are not taken on time, the issue magnifies and rebounds on you with drastic repercussions.
