A thriller drama about two brothers of diverse natures yet harbouring love and affection for each other. In fact, the audience is treated with the base themes from Kasme Vaade (1978) and the Hollywood’s science fiction thriller Face Off (1997).
For Suniel Shetty and Shatrughan Sinha fans this movie would be a journey into flashback 20 years back when these stars were at their peak.
Two brothers played by Suniel Shetty as the younger brother and his elder bro Shatrughan Sinha. The elder brother is married and is a taxi driver who always ends up in a scuffle, and even a fight on certain days.
His younger sibling Sunil is timid, soft spoken and a gentlemanly character. Sunil is his sister-in-law’s favourite and his bhabhi always loved and cared for him.
Sunil’s bhabhi is played by Farah. And just after Sunil is married to Ravina (Raveena Tandon) he get killed while intervening in a deadly fight involving his bade bhaiya.
The innocent guy loses his life for the wayward nature and behaviour of his elder brother.
Bade bhaiya realises his folly, and the family shifts from Pune to Mumbai, where he starts life afresh and is most respected in his mohalla.
Till one day, when he comes across a rufian who is an exact look-alike of his departed brother.
Life has taken a U turn as the one who was the most wayward is now a strict disciplinarian and the guy who was a decent and straightforward has now turned into a gangster who undertakes all the dirty work of his boss Bhandari (Kiran Kumar) who is in construction business.
Life takes twists and turns for the brothers and the story leads to an interesting climax, however the main drawback of this film is that the viewer can easily make out that the film must have been shot a long time back and gets released after 2 Decades. This is what 2 Chehre is about.
Shatrughan Sinha & Sunil Shetty enact their parts for which they gained their stardom. Raveena Tandon is in it for a brief period.
Stand-up Comedian Krushna Abhishek gets to play a double role and if the film would have released in that period, maybe he could have earned his celebrity status much earlier.
The warring dons played by Kiran Kumar and Surendra Pal are the most impressive characters in this thriller drama.
