Already popular in the music video segment having produced 4 music videos in Marathi, Amol Borkar’s ZigZag Production launched it’s maiden Hindi music video Deewane. “Our aim is to promote fresh talent into the industry and that is evident from this music video too that we have introduced new actors and the singer. I have observed that in the industry newcomer artistes, singers and lyricists rarely get a break to showcase their talent as they have no sources or contacts,” said Amol Borkar while speaking to Filmytown.com.

Shot around the exotic locales of Kullu-Manali, this heart touching music video features Amaan Khan and Manjiri Mishra. Amol made a significant note, “Originally we had planned to capture the lush greenery of Manali, but on the day of the shoot it snowed so heavily. Full credit to our director Ramesh Rout who took the unexpected decision to shoot the video amidst the thick layers of snow and fortunately it turned out in our favour as the snow laden backdrop lends further depth to the lyrics of this love song. This talented director magically turned the adversity into our favour!”

Known for his feature film Angry Young Man(2014), Deewane music video’s director Ramesh Rout humbly shifts the credit bestowed upon him to the lead pair Amaan Khan and Manjiri Mishra who braved the -15 Degrees temperature and skillfully displayed the chemistry between them. The song is sung and composed by Vishal Karle who is also the lyricist. DOP Rajveer Singh has captured the snowy backdrop giving it a touch of melancholy. Rout has a couple of Bengali films and quite a few films in the South and several Oriya and Chattisgarh movies to his credit as a director.

Amol Borkar mentioned, “If you notice, we have presented a fusion of Indian classical and Arabian tune in the song. The boy who is shown as a guide, had fallen in love with the girl at first sight, now conveys to the girl that he was yearning for his love for such a long time and now it is the girl’s turn to experience the same emotion. The boy is a Pahadi person who are usually soft hearted, while the Mumbai girl is worldly wise. We have portrayed the clean emotion of a Pahadi boy in contrast to the adulterated nature of the girl depicting the city culture.”

The boy was truly in love with the city girl, while for the female it was a time pass moment. The boy states in the climax that there are plenty lovers in this world, but rarely you would find those who hate you.

“Instead, I would term the music video Deewane as a musical film of 6 minutes as it conveys the story of a feature film in such a short span. A successful director’s vision is to satisfactorily convey the concept, whether it is for a 2 minute video or a feature film of 2 hours,” says Ramesh Rout who draws the role of a director that is parallel to a cook who whole-heartedly serves you a fast snack or a whole meal,” stated an elated Rout.

“If you see that more than half of the men in India have been betrayed in love, and this music video is dedicated to them,” summed up Amol Borkar the producer of this music video who also happens to be the owner of The Godfather Club and Lounge.
