Deewar (1975)
Another iconic movie released on 24th January 1975, a few months before Sholay was Deewar - a tale of two brothers on opposite sides of the law. It explored the relations between siblings who grew up under the shadow of their father’s unfortunate disrepute and how each of them took that slander and grew in two opposite directions, one who cannot forget and forgive, becomes a street smart, law-breaker and the other who moves on with the times and is an educated person on the right side of the law. The title - Deewar thus suggesting the wall of ideology drawn between them. This movie was iconic as it was released before Sholay and after Zanzeer and firmly established Amitabh Bachchan as the new superstar of that era and confirmed his image of the ‘Angry Young Man’. With this movie he established an enduring partnership with Shashi Kapoor with this duo giving many subsequent hits t ....

De De Pyaar De movie review
Sometimes the new age ideals, sometimes the age old Indian tradition. This is what De De Pyaar De shuttles all through its 135 minutes running time. The writer wants to keep the new generation happy with his ideas of the father readily accepting his daughter's view to have a live-in relationship before her marriage. Then the writer also wants to let the conservative Indian audience to feel that his film also has Indian culture and ideals. De De Pyaar De movie review... Neither here... nor there! Seems that Indian culture is in transit mode. Ashish Mehra (Ajay Devgn) is a 50 year old divorcé residing in London. He is somewhat sort of an Angel investor or a Venture Cap funder. He is rich, living alone in the UK after having seperated from his wife Manju (Tabu). This rich dude keeps himself fit and in fine shape that attracts a 26 year-old woman Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) towards ....

Don 2 - movie review
The Baadshah is back. And indeed he is! Being the second film of the franchise or “BRAND”, Don 2 creates buzz without much promotion in India. Shot at stunning locations in Switzerland, Germany, Malaysia and India. Speaking of the Don himself, Shah Rukh Khan. His acting is very natural and spontaneous and does not seem scripted. Every thing that he does on screen as Don -from his dialogue delivery, body language, look or style is truly DON. His performances in the stunt and action scenes are done very well. It is said to be the perfect crime and in fact it is! The first half of the film is comparatively slow with all the preparations taking place to commit “THE CRIME” while on the other hand the Interpol officers of Malaysia trying to catch Don in Berlin. The second half of Don 2 moves at a rapid pace and is more engaging, power packed with well executed action and stunt ....

Desi Boyz - movie review
Debutant director Rohit Dhawan is the son of prominent director David Dhawan who directed movies like Shola aur Shabnam (1992), Aankhen (1993), Raja Babu and even till late – Partner. To say honestly, the son is one up over his dad when it comes to delivering glossy comedy. One more thing, it has been given an adults certificate, maybe because of its particular content where the handsome studs operate as male escorts. Desi Boyz movie review... But Nick Mathur and Jerry Patel don't feel a thing in their comfortable pad in London. Dam 999 - movie review
Dam 999 is a film to watch in a 3 Dimensional format. Only disappointment here is that the 3 D effects are just peppered somewhere in between and then the special effects come to play in the last 20 minutes of this film. It is produced by UAE based BizTV Networks and the direction and script is credited to upcoming director Sohan Roy, who is primarily an established mariner with a Guinness Book record to his credit. Dam 999 movie review... The film is based on real life incidents bringing to life the memories of 1975 Banqiao Dam disaster in China which claimed the lives of an estimated 250,000 people. It is a movie with a social cause which describes the hazards dams can cause and creates awareness among the masses about the impending dangers of a dam collapse, if not attended on time. Dam 999's screenplay is now archived into the Permanent Core Collection of The Academy’s Margar ....

Damadamm - movie review
Damadamm, earlier titled as Ishq Unplugged, It is Bollywood comedy film directed by Swapna Waghmare, starring Himesh Reshammiya, Sonal Sehgal and Purbi Joshi in lead roles in a rom-com that comes across as a slice of life film. To put it simply, it is the story about two girls and a guy. Damadamm movie review... Himesh Reshammiya is a respected Music Director and a singer himself. Not all singers are handsome or talented as actors, and not all actors are as good as singer as compared to their acting prowess. As an actor our Himeshbhai is way below the mark. He is not chocolate faced nor does have the built to boast of, and yes as an actor is his less talented than his singing. So would it not be better he sticks to where he is the best – Music and Singing? The film Damadamm is the story of Sameer (Himesh Reshammiya) who has finally got his freedom when his stubby-girlfriend Shikh ....

The gang of Dhamaal – the four good-for-nothing jokers- Adi, Manav, Boman and Roy are back again in Double Dhamaal! Joker No 1 Riteish Deshmukh is Roy, who fancies himself as the greatest actor in the world. But alas, whether he¹s a slit eyed Chinese crook Lee or blacker than tar Tukya Kale, he ends up with a kick on his backside. Joker No 2 Arshad Warsi is Adi. The master brain amongst the birdbrains, his ideas for making easy money sound foolproof and easy. Joker No 3 Jaaved Jaafery is Manav, Adi’s adoring younger brother. Blessed with a trusting disposition, sunny smile and zero IQ, he specializes in saying the wrong thing at the wrong time and getting everybody into trouble. Joker No 4 Ashish Chowdhry is Boman. In his quest for easy money he will go to any lengths and do anything. Double Dhamaal has all these four jokers. They are still as stupid and useless as before. Har ....
