Talking about his pivotal role in the upcoming film Sikandar, Bollywood actor Abhilash Chaudhary is changing tracks after a series of villainous roles. “I hope to captivate audiences once again, this time in a refreshingly new avatar. I would be playing a pivotal role in the much-anticipated film Sikandar alongside Bollywood megastar Salman Khan,” he mentioned.
In Sikandar, Abhilash essays the character Deva, marking his return to playing a protagonist after a series of intense villainous roles in his last few films. Expressing his excitement, Abhilash shares, “It feels invigorating to embrace a positive role after so long. But what makes this project even more special is the opportunity to work extensively with Salman Khan”
For Abhilash, Sikandar is a milestone in his journey. Having previously shared screen space with Salman Khan in cameo appearances, this is the first time he has collaborated with the superstar in a substantial role. He reminisces about his debut in Tubelight, where he worked closely with Sohail Khan but not directly with Salman.
Speaking about his experience working with the Bollywood icon, Abhilash says, ”Being on set with Salman sir is like attending an acting Gurukul. We worked together for nearly 100 days, and watching him in action—be it his acting, high-octane stunts, dance, or dialogue delivery—is truly awe-inspiring. His mental and physical strength is unmatched, and his ability to grasp and execute things so swiftly is a masterclass in itself”
Beyond Sikandar, Abhilash Chaudhary’s career trajectory continues to soar. He will soon be seen as a lead hero in the upcoming independent film Shaadi Bazz. He is also collaborating with the maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma as the protagonist in an intense police drama series.
Adding to his growing repertoire, he has wrapped up the second season of Dhahanam for MX Originals, following his gripping performance as the main antagonist in the first instalment. His past works include commanding negative roles in notable films such as D Company, State of Siege: Temple Attack (ZEE5, opposite Akshaye Khanna), and the Telugu action thriller Konda by Ram Gopal Varma where he played the lead negative role. Ram Gopal Verma not only praised him for the role in Konda and Dhahanam on multiple media occasions, but he also mentioned that Abhilash is completely different from the roles he plays on screen.
Having shared screens with industry heavyweights like Sonam Kapoor in The Zoya Factor and worked in blockbuster films such as Paltan, Commando 3, Dabangg 3, and Ujda Chaman, Abhilash Chaudhary has solidified his presence in both Bollywood and Tollywood. He has also left a mark on television with appearances in popular shows like Udaan, Paramavatar Shri Krishna, Chandragupta Maurya, Mere Angne Mein, and Savdhaan India.
