Sridhar Rangayan’s highly anticipated drama Kuch Sapney Apne is set to hit theatres across India on February 21st. Described as ‘a rich emotional landscape where love, betrayal, and redemption intertwine’, the 2-hour film has recently received a UA certification, making it suitable for audiences aged 16 and above.
“We created this film to resonate with mainstream Indian audiences, carrying the powerful message that ‘Love is Love’ through the intertwined stories of four couples navigating love and relationship struggles. We’re thrilled to receive a 16+ U/A rating from the CBFC, allowing more young people to experience this heartfelt journey. Oscar-nominated filmmaker Deepa Mehta praised the film, saying, “Kuch Sapney Apne is a deeply moving film that highlights the complexities of family, the freedom in embracing your true self, and the power of love above all.”
The film will be released in Mumbai, New Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Trivandrum in PVR Cinemas and Cinepolis starting February 21st.
This romantic social drama stars Mona Ambegaonkar, Shishir Sharma, Satvik Bhatia, Arpit Chaudhary, Abhay Kulkarni, and Veenah Naair in pivotal roles. The film features melodious songs by Vishal & Rekha Bhardwaj, Shaan, Shashwat Singh, and Sushant Divgikar.

Filmed across Mumbai, South India, and Sweden, the film’s cinematography by Subhransu Das has garnered critical acclaim for its visual storytelling, with critics noting how the shots “allow the environment and its inhabitants to spring forth, amplifying the bold spirit of the story.”
The film’s songs will be released soon and will be available on all major platforms.
