After successful theatrical release, Mukkabaaz goes digital on Eros Now

Mukkabaaz premieres today, 13th April 2018

Mumbai, 13th April, 2018: After enjoying a successful theatrical release, the critically acclaimed Mukkabaaz will premiere on 13th April 2018 on Eros Now, the cutting edge digital over-the-top (OTT) South Asian entertainment platform of Eros International.

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Mukkabaaz beautifully explores a boxer’s love story amidst blinding hatred of the political cast system. The film is produced by Aanand L Rai, Madhu Mantena and Vikramaditya Motwane.

The story is based on aspiring boxer Shravan played by Vinit Singh based in the city of Bareilly, in Uttar Pradesh. He slogs day and night to achieve his dream of being a recognised boxer.

Things go awry when he falls in love with a high caste, mute girl who happens to be the niece of his arch nemesis, the head of the state boxing federation, Bhagwandas Mishra. To marry his love, he needs a job and for him, the path to a stable government job is through boxing.

But what Shravan doesn’t expect is that in India, boxing is about everything else but the sport. The film stars debutant Zoya Hussain, Jimmy Shergill & Ravi Kishan.

Mukkabaaz is packed with energy, humour and melodrama which makes sure it doesn’t cater only to sports buffs.
