Kahin Hai Mera Pyaar – Film Review

He believes she is somewhere. Do you?

Kahin Hai Mera Pyar

The story of Adam and Eve is featured in a Bollywood film for the first time which ought to catch the youth’s imagination. It is all in here – love, obsession, re-incarnation, love triangle, sacrifice, envy and it has a message at the end of the film.

It is natural! Every youth yearns for true love and he keeps searching for his love through his entire life, and the girl is bound to meet him – thats what the core of this film is about.

The reason of creation of this universe, the world is the quest for knowledge of love. Everyone’s belief is their love exists somewhere and they feel – Kahin Hai Mera Pyar!

Nature’s own creation Adam and Eve, believed to be in heaven, were incited by a snake to eac the forbidden fruit. Eve couldn’t resist the temptation and she had the fruit. She then urges Adam to have it. And then everyone knows what happened.

They were forbidden to have the fruit, and no sooner they consumed it, they were exiled from Heaven.

Adam and Eve learnt the knowledge of love and their indifferent love made them keep searching for each other and finally, nature helped them meet again.

Similarly in the film, Karan is a painter who keeps getting visions of a girl. He gets a glimpse of her and then its gone. After long, he manages to produce the image on canvas, and then it turns out to be the best painting of his life.

Karan is adamant that the girl in the portrait will come into his life one day. He is hopeful, and hence at the bottom of all his portraits of the ‘dream girl’ he signs off as: Kahin Hai Mera Pyar, with a belief that his love exists somewhere!

He never intended to part with his paintings, until an incident made his to keep all his paintings in an exhibition organized by a lover of art (Jacky Shroff). In an auction all his paintings are bought by a business tycoon Rahul Kapoor (Sanjay Kapoor) at a never imagined price.

This makes Karan more curious about the intention of the art lover to pay such a big amount for his works. He tracks down the tycoon to Goa and requests an appointment with him. On having met Rahul Kapoor, Karan is told by him that the person in the portrait is just an imagination in Karan’s mind.

Karan isn’t convinced as no sane person would pay such an amount to buy his paintings. He explores Goa in his quest for the girl of his dreams.

Is the girl just his imagination or does she exist in reality.

Will Karan, the Adam of this love story, meet his pure love Eve?

Debutant director, Mahesh Vaijnath Doijode’s film entertains the audience and carries message which makes it simpler for the viewer to think about life and its philosophy.

The newcomers Abhishek Sethiya and Sonia Mann are a cute couple, and should stay here in Bollywood to make a mark. Sanjay Kapoor is a bit over the top in his reactions when he realises that the girl too is in love with the boy and not her boss. Jackie Shroff is here for a bit of a special appearance.
