Singh is Bliing - movie review
Akshay Kumar’s energy, emotions and performance are the only saving grace of this yet again mindless comedy-action adventure. Raftaar Singh (Akshay Kumar) is the apple of his mother (Rati Agnihotri) who spoils her son with her love and her home-cooked jalebis. Raftaar spends his time dancing and hanging out with his friends. He is a free spirited man who finds happiness in other people’s smiles. He is always looking to live his life to the fullest and runs away from responsibility, leaves everything in his life incomplete. Hence his father sends him to Goa to work under his friend who could bring some change in this no-good son. Raftaar Singh is then sent to receive his new Boss’s friend’s daughter Sara (Amy Jackson) who has come to India to search for her mother. She is beautiful yet tough as a rock as she grew up amidst guns and goons. Her kicks and punches would break bone ....

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, hindi movie review
It is engraved in SRK’s (Shiv Ram Kishan) fate to get “married by accident”. Usually, people are accident prone, but here is the hero SRK (Kapil Sharma) who is “Marriage Prone”. If this amuses you, then the movie should too. Kapil Sharma, now internationally known as the Comedy King of small screen, debuts in Bollywood with this brainless comedy (reminds one of David Dhawan films). It used to be Govinda who could carry any brain dead scene on his own. Kapil Sharma has flashes of Govinda’s comic timing. Successful suspense-mystery films director duo Abbas Mustan have competently entered the Comedy Genre. If one leaves logic behind at home, one is sure to enjoy this film. Usually wise persons run away from marriage, while in this film our hero – SRK gets married not only once, but thrice and reluctantly in all the three ‘major instances of his life’. It is in his dest ....

The brother dreams of getting his sister married to a bachelor Punjabi boy in Canada as he too gets a chance to go to Canada. The only hitch stopping this couple is the alimony amount of Rupees 30,000 per month that Rajbir has to pay every month to his ex-wife, Neha. While Rajbir earns barely 45,000 a month. Gurpreet, being a lawyer, is aware that the alimony needs to be paid only till Neha gets married to som ....

Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho, film review
A political satire loosely based on a real event in Rajasthan, in which a high court sentenced a boy to jail for allegedly raping a buffalo. Debutant Director Vinod Kapri's film is set somewhere in Haryana instead, and thats the reason that the film has a mix of Hindi and Haryanvi dialogues. The film opens on a colorful beginning, in a rustic 'mela' (village fair) with surprises all around. A pundit claiming to bring a Goddess to life in the form of a young girl sitting on a chair in a static blessing posture. The villagers seem to be convinced. Other attractions include, apart from the stand giant wheels, merry-go-round, a sensuous item song "Naach Basanti" and the a beauty competition of buffaloes. The winner is an elderly sarpanch's (a local village chief) buffalo from Tanakpur village. The buffalo is crowned as "Miss Tanakpur" and thats the title of the movie revolving aroun ....

Humshakals Film review
3 heroes in triple roles, with a promise of 9 times more fun (3 x 3), Humshakals the latest offering from director Sajid Khan, makes us re-think about Himmatwala (his last outing), though a remake, atleast had some substance and soul in that film. What could have been an iconic film, the attempt fails miserably right after 15 minutes in the film. Sajid Khan has a fetish for UK locations, throwing punches at the royal family, and this one ends up as a pitiable extension of Houseful 1 and 2 which were far better comedies from the director. The story is very short and simple (in fact there is no story, plot or screenplay at all). A conniving uncle of a young tycoon Ashok is keen on grabbing the riches and properties of this innocent nephew. Ram Kapoor is the uncle aka KANS and his nephew is Ashok (Saif Ali Khan). Ashok is seen all throught with Kumar (Riteish Deshmukh), his friend ....
