Jai Gangaajal, Movie review
A real life-like drama which makes you forget that you are watching a film. Unfortunately these incidents of lawlessness and wrong doings still take place in Central India. Jai Gangaajal is the story of a lady Superintendent of Police (S.P.) Abha Mathur (Priyanka Chopra) who takes charge in Bankepur in Central India. Her mission is to earnestly implement the law exactly in the same manner as the oath taken by her during the course of her Police training. Its prequel Gangaajal had Ajay Devgn who plays a cop and is the protagonist in a somewhat similar drama. Apart from the glamorous Priyanka Chopra as the central character, the director Prakash Jha himself debuts as an actor who plays the role of a Circle Babu (a senior Inspector). At the first look and the trailer release of this film, there were great apprehensions, both in terms of curiosity to know about the incident as well as the skeptics wondering whether Sonam Kapoor really was the right choice to play Neerja. Neerja, as is known, is a biopic based on Neerja Bhanot (played By Sonam Kapoor) who was the head purser on the Pan Am flight from Mumbai to New York via Karachi and Frankfurt. An action packed fast paced thriller, ought to appeal to the youth. This is what Ghayal Once Again is about. Ajay Mehra (Sunny Deol) is back after serving prison sentence for killing Balwant Rai. The film opens with flashbacks of Ghayal. Ajay begins a new career as a news editor of an independent newspaper. He doubles as a vigilante who assists the police with their hard-to-prosecute cases (including cases where the accused are prominent and influential members of society). R Madhavan plays a failed, disheartened retired boxer who now, is a coach of women's boxing for the Indian Boxing Federation. Kya Kool Hai Hum 3, film review
While the first two films, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005) & Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (2012) were trend-setters, Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 - the third installment of Kya Kool Hai Hum series disappoints. Claimed as India's first porn-com, the 3rd part has the least of genuine comedy content, and as regards the erotica - it has the lowest level of cheap gestures which can hardly 'arouse' interest among just out of college gals and guys.
