Tahaan, movie review
A fable-like journey of the eponymous eight year old boy, Tahaan (Paurav Bhandare) lives with his grandfather (Victor Banerjee), his mother Haba (Sarika) and older sister Zoya (Sana Shaikh) in the serene meadows of Kashmir. They all live in the hope that someday Tahaan's father who's been missing for over three years, will return. This lil boy spends his time in the meadows with his sheep and closest friend Birbal, his donkey, and conjures up a million questions about this world for his grandfather to answer. Grandpa’s profound teachings help Tahaan to choose the right path at the time of grave difficulties. Tahaan's mother is a powerful character representing the woman who stands strong in the face of hardships. The little boy's 14 year old sister Zoya provides great support to her mother. Her concern for her little brother Tahaan's well being makes her pivotal in bridging the gap ....

Vikram Madan (Shiney Ahuja) is a ground maintenance engineer at the Chandigarh Airport. His social life is limited to one friend Rajeev who is the security chief at the same airport. As luck would have it, Vikram's daughter is travelling with her teacher for a debate contest to Amritsar from Delhi. That flight gets hijacked by a group of 6 terrorists working for a man named Rasheed (KK Raina) who has been captured by the Indian Police. This flight is forced to land at Chandigarh Airport itself. These terrorists demand the release of Rasheed from the Indian Government or they threaten to kill the hostages inside the aircraft at large. C Kkompany is a story three underdogs in three different age groups staying in a middle class society. Three of them are great friends and are striving to achieve their respective dreams. Rock On!! is the story of 4 friends who want put together the greatest band this country has ever seen. Aditya Shroff (Farhan Akhtar), Joe Mascarenhas (Arjun Rampal), Rob (Luke Kenny) and K.D.(Purab Kohli) together create the rock band 'Magik'. The film is about friendship and the passion for music. This group takes part on a competition for Indian Rock Bands where the winner will be offered a contract for an album and at least one music video. These guys need money for new instruments. What not they have to do to earn the money, even at times by playing old Hindi songs at random Dandiya parties! Their reluctance and helplessness is beautifully captured in close-ups.
