Memsahab, movie review
Memsahab is based on the cruel incidents post the 1984 riots between a section of Hindus and the Sikhs in Delhi and other parts of North India.. Ensuing these riots, the Sikhs were targeted by the hindu fundamentalists and several Sikh families were ruined. Yukta Mookhey plays the character of Anjali, who is a victim of the riots and is pushed into prostitution. This young girl Anjali’s mother is raped by the villains and her father is shot dead. What an horrifying impact would this have on the girl! This Anjali grows up with such traumatic memories of her childhood. The director seeks to portray reality by actually shooting in a few bye lanes of Kamathipura (a red light area in Mumbai), where Anjali is one of the many women indulging in flesh trade. Every night, this woman has a new ‘Sahab’. Some unexpected incidents take place and she stumbles upon the killers of her par ....

Mere Baap Pehle Aap, movie review
Comedy specialist director Priyadarshan has come out with another not so great comedy story about a widowed father and his authoritarian son - Mere Baap Pehle Aap. The director who has produced good comedies like Hera-Pheri and Malamaal Weekly comes up with just an average entertainer. Anyway, good performances and the dialogues add fizz to the story. It is the story of an authoritarian son (Akshaye Khanna) who bosses his long-widowed father (Paresh Rawal) about living away the remaining years of his life like a decent old gentleman. But the father, well under the influence of his lusty old friend (Om Puri), is inspired to relive his youth again and marry his childhood sweetheart (Shobhana). And even as the son falls in love with a girl (Genelia D'Souza) who troubles him perpetually, he is worried more about his father’s marriage than his own. Mere Baap Pehle Aap opens with a dre ....

Mr White Mr Black
Three cool women led by the go-getter Sandhya Mridul, Australian beauty Tania Zaetta and Miss Thailand Kamala Ning, highjack a truck which carries some diamonds and succeed in carrying off a complex diamond heist, in the process they kill the guards and the police escort. A well done action sequence in Mr White Mr Black, though appear to be "inspired" by the stunts of Matrix. This is the opening sequence in the film and the most impressive too. Suffering a heart-attack one morning, on his birthday, Joymohan (Anupam Kher) a professor in Kolkata, realizes that he needs to spend more time with his family. This incident prompts him to move to Mumbai to be with his son (Rajit Kapoor), daughter-in-law Rita (Divya Dutta) and grand-daughter Gargi (Avika Gor) and mend broken bridges of the past. Gopi (Suniel Shetty) a simple man arrives in Goa from his far away home town in order to hand ov ....

Mithya, movie review
Mithya means a lie. Lies and everything else apart, it's an absolute entertainer. Rajat Kapoor has tried a never-before- tried treatment in this film and outcome is as unexpected as its meaning. He manages to weave together both the elements of comedy and a crime thriller and come up with a movie which surprises us by its sheer boldness. Mithya is filled with all the ingredients of a Bollywood hit movie - comedy, drama, action, romance, love, and finally, a good story of a guy who finds himself at the wrong place in the wrong time and how that changes his life. VK (Ranveer Shorey) is a struggling actor, like thousands of film aspirants who reach Bollywood, comes to Mumbai with endless big film dreams. But fate has something in store for him, for it makes him a pawn in a master game plan of the underworld, and then he unknowingly gets drawn into a whirlpool of events that will deter ....

My name is Anthony Gonsalves, movie review
It is amazing that this very Bollywood film industry has produced the likes of Shatrughan Sinha, Mithun Chakraborty, Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgan who were just written off initially since they did not have chocolate looks, style nor any filmy godfather to give them a break. This is what My name is Anthony Gonsalves is all about. Well, then this film is the story of an ordinary boy - Anthony Gonsalves (Nikhil Dwivedi) who has an extra ordinary dream - to become a film star. As an orphan child Anthony was picked up from the streets of Mumbai by the large hearted gangster Sikander (Pavan Malhotra) who hands this young lad over to father Braganza (Mithun Chakraborty), who becomes his moral guardian. This innocent young child is now sheltered from harsh realities of life. Grown up as a handsome young man, Anthony works as a bartender at Jimmy's pub run by the local gangsters - Seth Mu ....
