Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, movie review
Set on a lavish canvas about Royals residing in palaces and forts, this film directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya is strewed with goody characters preaching ethical ways of living a goody life. The family drama is about a dreamy world set in the era of Kingdoms and consisting of obedient sons, 'agyakari' women where Yuvraj Vijay Singh (Salman Khan) a prince of Pritampur, who is soon to be crowned as king and is engaged to princess Maithili (Sonam Kapoor). Does this awaken memories of Shammi Kapoor's 'Prince' or the much later Anil Kapoor's 'Rajkumar' and dozens of ficticious Raj Gharana Bollywood films. It seems doubtful if this concept would work in the present times of fast paced lives of people who manage to be in touch with their own families with difficulties. Anyways, our prince Vijay is ethical, upright and stubborn which makes him infamous within his own family which consists of his ....

Asha Bhosle plays the role of a mother suffering from Alzheimer's in the Marathi film Mai.

Mai - movie review

Mai is the story of an helpless mother and her ungrateful and insensitive children.. The subject is cliched, but it is Asha Bhosle’s performance which is the highlight of the film. It is wonderful to see Asha Tai taking personal interest in this touching film where she is in front of the camera. And she has played the role of an ageing mother very naturally. This is the highlight of this film. In Baghban we had the aged parents whose children weren’t willing to take care of them. In this film it is the 65 year old mother of three daughters and a son. The son is much involved in his personal problems that he is least interested in taking care of his mother. The eldest daughter Madhu (Padmini Kolhapure) is the only one who cares for her mother, and then she ....

Film Review As is clear in the title, this movie is about second marriage. This is the story about two single parents and their grown up son and daughter respectively. The grown up son of a widower father (Suneel Narang played by Mohit Chauhan) finds a life partner for his daddy in a divorced mother (Shoma Upadhyay played by Charu Rohatgi). Set against an urban background this story explores the complexities of human emotions which reflect in man-woman relationships. It has romance, comic relief and subtle criticism of our socio-cultural surroundings but at the core of it, it is human drama The film kicks off when Akshay, young IT professional from Delhi; only child of a single parent Suneel Narang embarks on a journey to get his father, a widower; married so to finally put an end to his prolonged loneliness.
